Chapter 28: The Lost Sector
On the desolate planet, where Gabriel had previously engaged in battle with the giant spider and worm, a ship hovers above the rocky surface. Though not as immense as the one Gabriel encountered earlier, it still commands a significant presence. Millions of black obsidian crystals levitate, drawn up from the ground by an unseen force and collected within the ship. Suddenly, the colossal giant worm, which Gabriel had fought before, erupts from the earth with a menacing hunger, aiming to devour the ship. Yet, in a swift response, the mothership stationed in the planet's orbit unleashes a piercing black beam, tearing through the planetary surface like a tsunami of annihilation. The beam disintegrates the massive worm, reducing it to nothing more than a gruesome display of blood and gore. The ship retrieves the crystals and swiftly returns to the safety of the mothership. Moments later, the ship vanishes into the depths of space.
Inside the mothership, a human figure stands before a group of beings, their hair intertwined with black and red stripes. With closed eyes, the figure exudes an air of calmness as an emotionless robotic voice emanates from the ship's control panel.
"Scan complete. Species identified as a human from the lost sector according to the intergalactic database."
Meanwhile, Gabriel finds himself captured by these enigmatic beings, having been overpowered in his encounter with the individual possessing the fire aspect. Helplessly captured, Gabriel communicates with Aurora, seeking a glimmer of hope.
"Aurora, what is our situation? Is there any possibility of escape?" Gabriel inquires, his hopes waning.
"Based on my calculations, the chances of escape are negligible. Everyone here appears to be Beyonders, formidable and powerful. Moreover, the Captain alone surpasses us in strength. I recommend we allow them to take you, considering our original intent was to seek out civilization," Aurora's voice resonates within his mind, extinguishing any remaining hope of evasion. Gabriel reluctantly acknowledges her point, realizing the overwhelming energy radiating from the Captain. Escape seems futile.
Lost in contemplation, Gabriel is suddenly startled by the astonished tone of the Captain's voice, though he cannot comprehend the language. The surprise and disbelief in the Captain's words are palpable.
The Captain is taken aback by what he hears—an escaped human from the lost sector. How could this be? Yet, what shocks him even more is the revelation that Gabriel is a Beyonder. How could a Beyonder originate from the lost sector? The universe is an expansive and mysterious realm, extending infinitely with various realms, some accessible and others concealed. Planets with incomplete singularities are classified as lost sectors, devoid of the power cosmic. Such planets are considered primitive and insignificant in their inability to harness cosmic forces. Hence, no advanced species has ventured to Earth. Throughout the universe, planets possess diverse technologies, some surpassing Earth's capabilities through their mastery of cosmic power. Encountering a lone human from a lost sector traversing the vastness of space is a remarkable anomaly.
