"I made the prophecy and yet, I have to oversee this island in secret now?"
A woman complained.
"Father sure is a slave worker."
The Archangel of Wisdom and the Torch of God; Uriel.
"Taking female form outside of Heaven is a bit embarrassing."
Due to her prophecy, God sent Uriel down to Earth to oversee the island of Interblade Academy. She disguised herself in a female form and a suit so that she could see who would cause the disaster.
Something she never told the Secret Force and her other affiliates was that a student would cause the disaster.
Uriel only told this to her father, God.
She travelled through an alleyway. As she headed for the exit, a group of men blocked her way. At that moment, her mood worsened.
"Hey, lady,"
One man stuck his tongue out.
They circled her.
"Want to play with us?"
"Isn't it too late to get to your job?"
"Come on..."
[I cannot believe in human society when there are sinful fools like you lot.]
"Hm?"
The men looked around. They never saw anyone else. They all have each other confused looks.
"Ah, sorry, I let my Authority out."
Uriel said, covering her mouth.
"Bitch, what did you say?"
Liquid leaked from the man's trousers as he looked at Uriel. He took a step back.
"Get out of my way."
There was something strange with the woman. She had a weird presence that shook him to the bone. He had no idea what she was.
Uriel had enough of people taking advantage of others.
[Forgive me, Father.]
She said—her eyes changed colour and became teary.
[I must sin.]
"Let's just get her."
"No point, she's out of it."
"Just grab her."
The men attempted to grab Uriel, however...
"AAAAHHHH!"
He screamed in agony as his body became ash. There was nothing left of the man as the ashes were scattered by the wind.
"Pathetic."
The Archangel uttered.
Another swung at her; she glanced at the man, and he froze before his limbs twisted and bent. The last man, trembled, stumbling backwards.
"Do you want a turn?"
"M-m-m-monster!"
He yelled, running away.
Uriel sighed, before staring at the body on the ground.
"..."
She grinned.
"That's all of my stress gone. Man, I haven't been to Earth for 20 years. I should come here more often."
Suddenly, the Archangel chuckled to herself.
"No human would think that Heaven would only bring stress."
And so, she chuckled to herself while skipping to work.

"I'm Ms Yumi, your new Magic Theories teacher."
Today, I have a new teacher for Magic Theories. Despite her Western features, blonde hair and blue eyes, she seemed to be Japanese. Especially with a name like 'Yumi.'
"Um, what happened to Mr Arata?"
Someone asked.
"Well, he took a vacation. I'm here to fill in for him."
"Vacation? Where did he go?"
The girl, Ameri, asked from beside me.
It's crazy how we're only in the same three classes and we sit next to each other in all of them.
Ms Yumi smiled.
"He went to Hawaii with his wife."
"Eh?! So lucky!"
Everyone talked about their love for foreign places. Hawaii is a nice place to go holiday on. I've only been to London and New York. Those places were nice but muggings happened a lot.
"Calm down, class, let's start the lesson, shall we?"
She was a surprisingly calm teacher. I was expecting her to be nervous and trip up but she looks like she has some teaching experience. Mr Arata is not like this at all. I kind of wish he would go on vacations more.
"Today, we'll be learning about souls."
"Souls? Aren't we learning magic?"
A boy asked.
"See, that's the thing. Let me explain before you all begin telling me that a soul is not magic."
She paced back and forth in front of the board.
"The soul. Most people don't know that everyone and every living thing has a soul, regardless of if they are normal or not. For Streia, the soul is known as something else—"
"The mana core."
Kurokawa said, interrupting Ms Yumi.
Though the interruption was rude, it seemed like she didn't mind. She continued as if nothing happened.
Wait, now that I think about it, that's the first time I've heard him talk.
"Exactly. Everyone has a soul but Streia just have more understanding of the soul. If someone knows about the soul, they could have the ability to possess mana."
"That's not a proven theory though."
I said.
"I understand what you're saying but it hasn't been tested in theory."
"Then, tell me, do you know of the scientist, Yumesaki Kirino?"
"That fanatical woman who's trying to learn more about magic despite being normal? What about her?"
Ms Yumi looked slightly surprised.
"Wait, you mean you don't know?"
"What?"
"Do you have access to the news?"
"They limit our use of the internet here so that the school's named isn't sullied."
"Ah, so that's why I couldn't look it up when I came here."
She said to herself.
"Well, in recent news, that woman is confirmed to be a Streia."
"Huh?!"
Everyone in the class exclaimed.
I was surprised. A teacher surely wouldn't lie to her students. But, if that's true then...
"Maybe she just wasn't tested before."
"No, these are official results. It's proven that excessive information about the soul can transform someone else's soul into a more complex form."
Wow.
I've been taught about this theory by my sister but the fact that it's true is world-changing. People may demand more information so that they can become Streia. Luckily, information about the soul isn't mass-produced.
As Ms Yumi said, not many people know about the soul, Streia or not. I know because my sister is in an army organisation, she taught me things so that I could survive with only 8 years of knowledge.
"Anyway, when you die, your souls are dormant and brought to either purgatory, Hell, or Heaven. The souls are then judged and they settle in either Heaven or Hell."
I already knew this. It's an interesting concept to learn about though, even if I already knew it.
"Though I will say, there are beings who can live on without a physical body."
"Wait, but Ms Yumi, doesn't that go against what you say? When we die, our souls are dormant, right?"
Ameri asked.
"Ascendants."
Hm?
"This is the name for the type of people like gods and angels. They are called ascendants."
This is the first I've heard of it.
