Alex was in a state of shock and awe over seeing probably one of the most powerful person to exist in the whole solar system. He remembered that he was actually one of the most powerful people in his whole races too. It was very rare for a person of his race to have more then one of planet supporting their powers. Not to mention 15 of them supposably there was one in history that had over 30 but even in the comics he wasn't really built upon other then the rumor of him fighting the space eater.
"You adopted another one Bruce?"
"Ahh yes and no It's more of a partnership between us. He's a amazing man who can heal almost any wound. Though I don't know where the blue little guy came from. Alex who is this?" Bruce asked gesturing to the blue child in Alex's arms.
"Oh uh I guess I should explain. This is actually Firebird who merged with a phoenix core. I used my ability to capture him but something happened where then two souls fought and the actual killed each other. This created the newly named being Ianna who for some weird reason is bound to serve me. So he's my sidekick now I guess."
Everyone in the room stared at him in shock. Sparrow had a confused look on his face. He definitely didn't understand a single word he even said. Bruce looked between the child and the picture of firebird on his Owl computer. Superbman was staring straight into Ianna and his eyes where glowing weirdly. He seemed to be looking into his souls.
Alex slowly put Ianna down on the ground where he stood around knee height. Ianna did a little wobble motion and waved his hands through the air to balance himself. He then finally stood unevenly but straight. Alex watched him as he did the unintentional cute acts. Then he turned back to the other men. Superb was still intensely staring at Ianna and Owlman was gone about twenty feet away looking at his computer. Sparrow and Alfred were drinking tea. Alex seemed to be missing something here since they all kinda stupid paying attention to them.
All the sudden Superb's eyes flashed green and blue and he started to talk in a deep voice.
" Ianna a mutated human mixed with phoenix is 1 hour old has no immediate concern for evil or good. His fate seems to be tied to the young boy Alex Cartwright. So in essence Ianna is a different person than Firebird I say you keep a eye on him and raise him to be a hero now. I have to go though my city seems to be under attack by mole poeple. Goodbye." he said and then disappeared in a flash of color. One second he was there the next he was already two miles away.
Alex remembered another one of Superbman powers. The eyes of Justice- allows Superbman to see into a person's soul and see basic information and the goodness or evilness of a person. No wonder everyone here seemed so uninterested in them. They all knew about this power that would let them know if Ianna could be trusted.
Luckily this was actually a great results since it would be hard to prove Ianna was different from Firebird without this power. While they could use Lucky truth power again it's inconvenient since it would be the second time. Alex still needed to figure out a way to incorporate the orphans into the Owl squad. They could definitely use a lot more help in the superhero department. Look at today they had trouble just facing off of firebird. Alex was tired of every fight ending in serious injuries. If they had more Heros they could team up and fight battles even easier.
"Bruce I'm not sure if you noticed but we are seriously out numbered on the Superpower front. Every fight ends with us being bullied or hurt. I suggest we bring in more Metas to reinforce our team. If we can get more Heros to back us up in serious fights or just to patrol Gamma we can make it safer. Not just for us but for everyone in the city. The citizens shouldn't have to live in fear of a Supervillains destroying their house. "
" I hear you but we would have to find a group of trusty individuals. That's not very easy. I've actually looked for some before but all the active ones in Gamma turned out to be Villains in disguise. Using their power for Good in the day and evil at night with a different costume. I've managed to arrest and apprehend all of them now. It used to be a mad house out there luckily once one is exposed it's easier to find the rest. Find me some trusty individuals and I'll recruit them."
" I know four kids that aren't corrupt we can recruit and train them so we know they are good for the city. It's easier to raise a Superhero then hope to find one."
"Ahh yes the four from the orphanage you told me about them before. I'll look into them and we can bring them directly to the manor if they check out."
"Thanks Bruce I'm going to take Ianna upstairs now. Maybe check the garden and stuff."
Alex walked away with Ianna in his arms again. Bruce watched him enter the elevator with Richard and Alfred following. Bruce was all alone in the Owl cave now so he hit some buttons on the computer. A commutation link opened up to Superbman who was back in his city.
"Hello Brucey I know whats the matter you rarely ever call me?"
"We both know what I'm calling about Carl Clarkson what do your eyes say about the boy."
Superb or Carl's eyes narrowed into slits. Unknown to Bruce the air around Clark started to darken he was in a serious mood. He was in his sky mansion that he built in the atmosphere by hand. It was his secret get away from everything below. He got tired of the mortal quarrels and fights. He had promised Gaia to protect her heart city from darkness. Yes his city was the City of Hearts. It was directly above where Gaia fell asleep thousands of years ago. In the recent years like the last 10 the darkness found where she was. She awakened part of her soul and bound Carl to her. Allowing him to grow stronger and more powerful. She also linked him to the other planets in the System.
"Look Bruce I don't know how you found this kid but I'll let you know that he's a enigma. I can't see through his soul. He seems to be honest and innocent however I can feel something different about his soul. It's young but old and I can't get a read on him. However when I looked into blue boys soul I found a connection to his. I saw a past of grief and pain in Alex soul through the link. He seemed to be hurt in the past but I also saw conviction and honor for the innocent people of the world. He should be trust worthy. Just look out for him Bruce I feel like he's hiding something."
Bruce paused in thought and nodded to his words. He then asked a more important question.
" How is it going over there. Your protecting the most important core unlike me. I can't imagine the trouble you deal with daily. It's bad enough here even though I only protect a auxiliary core from the darkness. I've seen it corrupt friends and we both know it probably took my family to turn me. The heros the fought with us lost quite a bit. We sealed him over 5 years ago but I know we both feel it weakening luckily Gaia's is going to awaken soon."
" I've gotten more monsters and villains then I know what to do with. I wasn't lying about the mole men. I had to wipe out over two hundred of them. I watched them corrupt and turn from normal Moles to hideous monsters. I even ran into a meta-human using that things power to corrupt citizens and turn them into monsters. I had to disable them with my own hands because I couldn't save them. I put them with the others from back then but even after all this time we still can't save them. If this goes on they will be corrupt down to their souls. I've seen that filth encroach into them. Yet I the most powerful person in the world can't down anything. Flash has been looking to but even with all the books in the world he hasn't found the answer. Oh shit I got to go another attack."
Bruce stared at the screen after Carl hung up. He then pulled up a old picture of a team of Superheros with 20 supers in the picture smiling at the camera. They stood in the old capital of the world. Bruce saw his parents there with Carl , speed, Orion and the now lost heros of their old government squad. Then he started to search about Alex's friends they needed new blood to help them in this war.
