The city of Avandryl is situated on the southern shoreline of the Imperion Empire. Originally a mid-sized harbor town, it became the Imperial capital when Imperia City descended into turmoil during Edron's near-coup four centuries ago.
Avandryl has been around as long as the Empire itself. Its true origin can be traced back to a location that recently became a key part of the new Imperial Palace. It was here that Evron the Conqueror met with the Shamans centuries ago, informing them they were free to flee, but he and his Army of All Tribes would stay and face the "Terran Devils." He then walked alone down a long path that ended at a cliff overlooking the ocean. Legend has it that he stood there for five days, which is why the Imperion week is five days long, waiting for the Tribe of the Cetan to arrive with promised reinforcements as the Terran army advanced.
