Chapter 111 - Dreamwalking

A lone bush waved like a sentry, as if to say it saw me, and I waved back, though my arm remained still. A pebble between my toes became a burden, which I rejected, allowing it to roll away in search of its own purpose. My time was filled with emptiness, and my space with vacant time. My legs refused to move, so I floated through the armies of the world, clashing forever in my mind's battlefield. Everything was in motion, yet nothing moved. The Cycle loomed overhead, with the Dragon at its peak, glaring, plotting, protecting its young by consuming the souls that roamed the night, seeking my protection. But I was everywhere and nowhere, and the night that was me had no end.

The length of my walk and its destination remained a mystery to me; my mind had embarked on its own journey, lost in thought. Gradually, reality began to seep back in, pulling me closer to the present moment.

I found myself pondering the vastness of Drevolan's army.
