Son: Dad, tell me a story.
Dad: Sure, I'll tell you.
Son: Dad, can you tell me a new story?
Dad: This story doesn't have a super hero or an action hero, it's a simple story of a middle-class boy.
That boy had a desire to watch a movie, but he couldn't fulfill it because he didn't have money. He was struggling with hunger, thirst, and poverty. But he had another desire to act in a cinema. However, that seemed like an impossible dream because he didn't have the money or connections to enter the film industry. He was passionate about movies and wanted to become an actor.
One day, he saw a movie poster in a bus stand and got inspired. He decided to work hard and save money to fulfill his dream. He started doing odd jobs and managed to save some money. He went to the theater and bought a ticket for the first show. He was filled with joy and excitement.
He asked someone near the ticket counter about the entry to the theater, and they told him that the theater was selling advance tickets for the movie's release day. He eagerly asked how much it cost and where he could buy the ticket. They directed him to the theater's entrance.
He asked why he should go inside the theater. His son replied, "What's the point of watching a movie on the first day if you can't enjoy it fully? Save the money for something else." The boy didn't care about his son's opinion and went inside the theater. His son asked why he went inside.
The father explained that the boy didn't care about other people's opinions. He wanted to experience the joy of watching a movie on the first day, and he was willing to spend his hard-earned money on it. The boy's determination and passion were admirable.
The son asked, "What will happen next?" The father replied, "The next day, the movie will be released, and from the first day itself, the theater entrance tickets will be available. Many people will rush to buy tickets, but he won't be able to buy one because he wasted his money on the theater entrance."
The son asked, "Why didn't he wait and buy the ticket later?" The father replied, "That boy doesn't have the patience to wait. He always rushes into things without considering the consequences." The son asked, "What will he do with the money then?"
The father explained that the boy might spend the money on unnecessary things or indulge in temporary pleasures like buying ice creams. Even though it gives him momentary satisfaction, it won't last long. The father emphasized the importance of saving money for future goals.
The son asked, "What will he do for work now?" The father replied, "He will look for a job like everyone else. But because of his impulsive nature, he may face difficulties in finding a stable job." The father shared his concerns about the boy's decision-making.
The son asked, "Why did he waste his time and money on a theater?" The father explained that the boy couldn't resist the temptation of watching a movie. It became his priority, even though it wasn't the right time or the right way to fulfill his dream. The father pointed out that the boy's actions were influenced by social media, where people post about their achievements.
The father concluded that such news brings temporary happiness but doesn't contribute to the boy's overall growth. The father hoped that the boy would learn from this experience and focus on building a stable career.
This story teaches us that we should prioritize our long-term goals and not get swayed by short-term pleasures. It reminds us to make wise decisions and consider the consequences before acting impulsively.
