The small light of hope was like a sparkling jewel one could not reach. A young woman is seen hunched over, surrounded by butterflies. She is crying wretchedly into her palms. The suffering she had to endure alone had finally overcome her.
"Sister, why do you cry alone?" The child who approached her had the same features. His golden yellow eyes stared down at her with worry. The only person to ever care about her wellbeing, the frail brother who she lost a few years ago stood before her.
She was between the brink of life and death. This was the wish to see him for the last time before she passed. He reached down to touch her pale cheeks, a glint of sadness in his eyes.
"Does it hurt, Sister?" He bent down to her height as she too reached out to touch his now rosy cheeks, "My sweet baby brother. I'm so tired."
A robust, pungent smell. A sticky substance beneath his head. And a sharp pain that occurs every time he moves.
