Chapter 4 - Back to Reality

"Ashera, wake up! Oh my dear friend don't die yet. What is wrong with you, come on wake up!" Ashera's vision projected a blinding bright light inching to her, so does she heard Heilta's voice.

Her friend was trying to wake her up. She felt the sudden urge to open her eyes. Then, she found herself abruptly arising from lying on the bed, gasping for air to supply her panting system. "Oh my Ashera, are you alright?" Heilta produced a worried look for her friend's momentum. "What happened? Where am I?" Ashera is more than baffled to know what is happening to her today. 'Was I actually dreaming this whole time?' she silently asked to herself.

First, she's ought to present with her group-mates, then the next thing she knew she was already in that strange yet paradise like nation, as Tanya called it so. Furthermore, here she wake up feeling astonished, preoccupied and real tired. "Seriously, it is I who should be asking that to you, Ashera! Where were you? What in the hell happened to you?"

Heilta sat beside Ashera and caressed her back to ease her panting and coughing. "Looks to me you have been in a deep nightmare. We were waiting for our turn to present, when the professors called it a day, for now. Then, bunch of students were pacing out the hall real hurriedly. That is when I lost sight of you. We were looking for you everywhere but you're nowhere to be found." Heilta took a pause and gave her friend a questioning look. "And here you are, lying in your room? You could have just told me you ought to go home first so that I would have not looked for you for hours, Ashera! Look, it is already night and everyone's worried sick. Not even your parents had seen you coming in here, you weirdo."

Ashera let out an unbelieving laugh. "Well, that is strange. I did not even have a clue how I end up here. The last thing I remember is that I was with you guys."

Heilta opened her mouth to utter something but was interrupted by a loud thud of the door, opening from a forceful entrance of Ashera's parents. "Oh my baby, where have you been? We were so worried sick of you. Neither of us had an idea of where or what could you have been doing." Ashera's mother kissed her daughter on the top of her head as she embraced her girl tightly.

"Mother, I am all fine. Probably just too tired that I found my way home half asleep." She joked around. She lied, Knowing that it is the only thing she know at the moment.

Not wanting to dwell with the frustration of the fact that she just found herself lying so soundly in her bed and woke up in a lucid yet overwhelming dream, not knowing how she got home. Her father inched closer and grabbed her hand in a tender manner. "Honey, we are so glad that you are alright. However, you don't seem to be in a good shape. What's the matter?"

Indeed, Ashera is not in a good shape. With all of the unexplainable events and the paleness that her face tells at the moment. "Well, am just feeling a little uncomfortable than usual more like strange. Woke up on a dream I don't even know if it was real or somewhat like that. Then, the fact that none of you guys noticed that I have been here at home the whole time." She let out a concerning sigh.

Ashera looked at her parents, giving them a curious look as they were exchanging gazes with each other as if they were having an eye to eye conversation that only them can know what it meant, or she'd like to think so.

"Well, Ashera, I think I should get going now. My parents just beeped me to hit the road and be home now. You know, we are having our family dinner, tonight. Almost forgot about it, to be honest." Heilta said looking back and forth to her friend and on her phone.

"Oh my, I apologize for causing you troubles, Heilta. I assure you that I am all good now. Thank you so much for worrying about me. I appreciate it, as always." Heilta has been with Ashera ever since they were young. Not to mention that they were almost like sisters that they almost can not function well without the presence of one another. So does worry them for one's absence.

"Heilta, dear, allow Fredrin to bring you home. Resist no more. Pretty sure you do not want to be late to your family dinner. Wouldn't be so pleasant, do you not think so?" Ersly, Ashera's mother, has always been so tender and so attentive with the two girls. Even Heilta was treated fairly as much as she treats her daughter, Ashera. There's just an overflowing care both from her and her husband for the both of the girls.

However, because of what had happened today, Ersly did not bother to care how authoritative she's getting towards Heilta at the present situation. She wants her daughter's besfriend to be safe and sound let alone securely gets to join her family's dinner tonight. It is also one way to save Heilta from indignation and unwanted conversation she might just have with her parents when she step a foot on their front door.

Ersly nodded to her husband and giving him a you-know-what-to-do glare. Ashera's dad rose from kneeling before his daughter's bed and offer Heilta a hand.

"Sometimes, I wonder why you guys are of a noble, such formality indeed is of no need at all cost." Heilta said shaking her head, while smiling jokingly to the family before her.

"C'mon, Heilta just go home already. Such codswallop is messing with your head and is not appreciated." Ashera could not deny the fact that her parents are of a genuine and pure built. Not only physically but of attitude as well.

Sometimes, she also wonders whether her relatives are of the same as her parents, for she never heard any from them. In fact, she gave up questioning her parents about it a very long time ago. Her parents would either reason out or say 'They are out of our frame so forget about them.'

"Heilta best regard us to your parents. We are looking forward to see them in the near future, again."

Ashera gave her mother a face. "Well that was deep, mother."

The room was filled with soft laughter before Heilta and Ashera's father started for the door. Within minute, they have already banished the room.
