A few days later, Jacob prepares to leave to Florida. Isabel, Leo, and Kevin Matthew's are there to see him off.
"Goodluck out there, kid. All the boys down at BCW are gonna miss you. Well- except for Barron, he's kinda pissed actually." Kevin says.
Jacob laughs.
"Thanks for everything, Kev. I really appreciate you giving me a chance." Jacob says.
Kevin smiles, as the two share a hug.
"It was my pleasure, son. Best decision I ever made."
At that moment, Leo runs into Jacob's arms.
"Jacob, when you become a WWE superstar, can you get us some free tickets?"
"Of course, little buddy. I'll even fly you guys out from time to time." Jacob says.
Leo smiles.
"Awsome." Leo says.
Jacob then makes his way to Isabel. The two stare at each other for a moment while smiling, then share a hug.
"Thank you, for looking out for my mom while I'm gone."
"No problem. Just make sure you show them what a kid from Brooklyn can do."Isabel says.
Jacob's smile gets even bigger.
"Yes ma'am."
Jacob soon gets into his car and drives to Orlando Florida. It's a long, bumpy trip but he finally makes it, he's infront of the WWE performance center.
He walks inside, looks around with a big smile on his face, still unable to believe that he's actually here. As he's distracted, someone sneaks up behind him.
"Hey! what are you doing?" A woman asks.
Jacob jumps and quickly turns around.
"Me? What am- what am I, doing? Nothing, just... taking a look around, you know, checking out the facility." Jacob nervously says.
"You're an hour and a half early for your orientation." The woman says.
"Well, my mom always said, if you're not early you're late." Jacob replies.
"How did you even get in here?" The woman asks.
"The guy upfront let me in."
The woman scoffs.
"Big guy? With a mustache? Kinda sweaty?"
"Yeah, that's him."
"Well, that's Todd's final strike. Hope he enjoys early retirement."
"Woah, no need to get anyone in trouble. I mean, he did check my ID. And even did a pat down. Todd's alright in my book. I feel very safe in his big, sweaty hands." Jacob says
The woman sighs.
"Fine, whatever. Anyway, I'm Kory Klein. Head recruiter for WWE. You can go get changed and head over to the gym, the other trainees who started last week should be showing up soon." Kory says.
"Got it. Thanks."
"Don't mention it."
As Kory walks away while staring at her phone, Jacob continues to look around with a smile on his face.
A few minutes pass and Jacob walks out of the locker room and sees multiple trainees in the gym. The young man is a little nervous to meet new people, but takes a deep breath and approaches the first guy he sees.
"Hi, I'm Jacob Cass."
The two shake hands.
"Hector Flores. You must be the new guy, right? Welcome to the PC."
Jacob smiles.
"Thanks. So, you guys already been here for a week, huh?" Jacob says.
"Yes, but I've been wrestling since I was a kid in Mexico. What about you?"
"Pretty much the same. I was practicing moves on a mattress in my backyard since I could walk."
Victor chuckles.
"I can respect that. Must be crazy to be here now, huh?"
"Yeah, definitely. But I know the work isn't over yet. I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make it to the WWE." Jacob says.
"I like your enthusiasm. That'll definitely benefit you around here." Victor replies.
At that moment, Jacob gets shoulder bumped by another recruit.
"Move it, rookie. A real star is coming through." The rude recruit says.
The two have a brief, but intense stare down as the recruit walks away.
"What's that guys deal?" Jacob asks.
"Don't mind him, he's always like that. He calls himself the paragon of professional wrestling. Jay Pierce." Victor says.
Jacob cringes at the name.
"The paragon?"
"Yes, I know. But he is talented. Wrestled in Japan before coming here."
"He may be talented, but that doesn't mean he has to act like a dick."
As the two chuckle, the legendary Shawn Michaels, multiple time champion, the heartbreak kid, and WWE Hall of Famer, walks into the room and enters the ring, alongside Road Dog, another member of DX.
"Alright everyone, I'd like to officially welcome our newest recruit to the start of his WWE journey, Jacob Cass." Road Dog says.
Jacob nods at everyone, with a smile.
"We are going to give you the foundations to succeed here in the WWE. What you do with it, is up to you." Shawn Michaels says.
"Keep in mind, you will be judged at all times. The big man in the sky is always watching." Road Dog adds
Everyone looks up, assuming that he means God.
"Not that big man. There's a camera up there with a live feed that goes directly to triple H's office."
"The coaches and staff certainly have input. But ultimately, he'll decide when the times right to bring the GM's from Raw, Smackdown, and NXT here, so you can showcase your talents."
Jay Pierce scoffs.
"I'm ready for that now." He says arrogantly.
"Yeah, we know you think that. But it's not your call, big shot." Road Dog says.
"Ok, now that that's out of the way, we're gonna start with some one on one matches, to see where everyone's at." Shawn says.
"Alright, new guy. Since it's your first day, we'll let you choose who you wanna face."
Jacob is surprised by this, but is glad to get the opportunity. He thinks to himself for a moment, but knows there's only one answer, one guy he really would like to shut up.
"I'd like to face Jay Pierce."
Jay Pierce laughs hysterically at this.
"You just made the biggest mistake of your life, Rookie." Jay says.
Jacob smirks.
"We'll see."
They both step into the ring, alongside the referee. The ref makes sure both men are ready, while Jay Pierce isn't taking any of this seriously, Jacob is focused and takes a deep breath.
The bell rings, and Jacob immediately runs at at his opponent, landing a shotgun dropkick into his chest, knocking him back into the turnbuckle, surprising everyone, including Jay Pierce. He then picks up Jay Pierce and drops him with a Tiger Driver'98 and goes for the pin.
"1... 2... 3!" The Ref counts.
Jacob beats Jay Pierce in seconds, impressing everyone, except for Pierce himself who is barely conscious on the mat.
