Chapter 49 - I Don't Feel Sadness of Death

Ye Nolisi was happy that a cultivator had come out of this village. It meant in the future, this village would have a backer; if something happened, it would get priority over other villages where not a single cultivator was born.

"What's your name?" Ye Nolisi asked the little boy gently.

"Immortal Sir, my name is Ye Urn," The little boy was a little shy and said in a shallow voice.

Ye Nolisi smiled and pulled Ye Urn's side, "You have spiritual roots, which meant you are going to be the same as me, so don't be nervous."

Ye Urn nodded, but he was still nervous. Ye Nolisi simply let him sit on a chair and gave him candy, which made him forget his nervousness for a while, and he ate the candy with a happy face.

Then, he called the last two children. He tested their spiritual roots, and they didn't have spiritual roots; after asking for their names and giving them candy, Ye Nolisi let them climb down from the altar.

Ye Urn wasn't very nervous since hearing about Immortal from other children who came before him, and after getting candy and the gentle smile of Ye Nolisi, he felt Immortal was a good person.

After the spirit testing conference ended, the villagers of Yellow Village, who were waiting, noticed that Ye Urn hadn't come down from the altar. They understood that Ye Urn must have had an immortal fate. He might be a future immortal, and villagers were happy about it.

As the village chief, Ye Huo was also happy. This also means that their Yellow Village will have another cultivator with the right to speak among the Ye clan in the future. It also means that the Ye clan behind them will become stronger.

Afterward, Ye Nolisi took Ye Urn's little hand and walked down the altar, announcing to everyone that Ye Urn had an immortal destiny and would return to the Main Ye Clan Mountain to practice in the future.

Later, he went to find Ye Urn's parents and told them that within three days, there would be an elder from the Main Ye Clan Mountain who would take Ye Urn away to Clan Mountain to let him practice immortality. Maybe Ye Urn would not be able to return home for several years in the future, so he told them to spend more time with Ye Urn these days.

Although Ye Urn's parents were extremely happy that their son had an immortal destiny, they felt a little reluctant when they heard that their son might not be able to return home in the next few years. However, they all understood that this was their child's opportunity, and they should accept it as parents. Let your children fly instead of imprisoning them around you.

Within two days, an elder from the Ye clan rode a fairy crane and brought a child to Yellow Hill.

Ye Nolisi, who had already heard the iconic roar of the Fairy Crane, reached the top of the mountain in advance.

Seeing the face of the person riding on the back of the fairy crane, he raised his hands and greeted him politely.

"Grandpa, is the little boy behind you a person with spiritual roots?"

Ye Moyang led the little boy to jump off the fairy crane and said with a smile. "Yes, this child also had spiritual roots; he is from Rusty Town; calculating his seniority, he should be of the same generation as you and can be regarded as your clan brother."

Ye Moyang looked at the little guy behind his leg; he made him move forward and said, "Little Eurm, this is your tenth brother, Ye Kongnolisi."

Ye Eurm shyly nodded his head and greeted Ye Nolisi.

Ye Nolisi looked at the little guy and felt that such little children were cute.

"Kongnolisi, This guy's name is Ye Erum; when he reaches the clan, he will be named Ye Kongerum, and his name will added to the main family."

Ye Moyang asked after introducing themselves. "Kong Nolisi, has anyone in Yellow Village been found to have spiritual roots this year?"

"Yes," Ye Nolisi replied with a smile.

When Ye Moyang heard this reply, the smile on his face became even bigger, and he quickly asked where the child with the spiritual root was.

Ye Nolisi also took Ye Moyang to Ye Urn house.

In order to confirm again that Ye Urn really had spiritual roots, Ye Moyang tested it again with the spirit-measuring stone. He observed that the spirit-measuring stone did react, which was a characteristic of having spiritual roots. Ye Moyang said happily.

"Sure enough, you have spiritual roots. Kongnolisi, you have a good chance this time. There are only more than 2,000 people in the newly established Yellow Village; considering the possibility of spiritual roots, it was amazing that there were spiritual roots here. Wait for these children to return to the family, and they help the family, and family helps them. Also, after confirming which type of spiritual roots they have, you will get a good amount of spiritual stones." Ye Moyang said.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about this; family gives a person that finds a spiritual roots person, well... It's good extra money.

Ye Nolisi didn't care about this since he liked the children, and he was happier that a child had spiritual roots than a spiritual stone he would get. Of course, this love was only until this little guy turned 13; after that, Ye Nolisi wouldn't have that kind of love anymore. If it's a girl, then things were a bit different.

"Grandfather, it's good to get a reward, but this guy got spiritual roots from birth, and I just found him and recommended him, so there is not much of my role here; you can give my reward to him," Ye Nolisi smiled and said.

Ye Moyang frowned. He felt that Ye Nolisi giving his reward to Ye Urn was okay, but not all rewards; Ye Nolisi should get half the reward. So he began to tell him that he should accept the half reward, but Ye Nolisi refused to accept.

In the end, Ye Moyang didn't say much about this. He then told him the bad news.

At the end of last year, Ye Lingkun, who traveled around villages to collect mature spiritual plants, was in danger when he returned to his family. Although he killed the Mid-Stage Qi-Refining Bird that sneaked up on him, his cultivation level was also affected by that.

When Ye Lingkun returned to his family, his cultivation level was gone, and he had fallen to the early stage of Qi Refining. He now needs crutches to help him walk.

In less than two years, he would leave this world.

This great grandfather gave my mother a ride to my Yellow Hill, and how he is dying... Why do I feel nothing? Someone is dying, and I don't have any sadness; it might be because I don't know this great-grandfather well...
