The creature's body was wide and tall, at least two meters tall, Its flesh, twisted and mottled, hung loosely from its skeletal frame. Patches of rot and exposed muscle oozed putrid fluids, giving off a sickening stench that permeated the air around it. Its limbs were elongated and deformed, each joint bulging with unnatural angles and bulging veins. If anyone saw this scene will know that this creature isn't human, but Asher saw it, the look that was on the features eyes there was a human life behind them.
"ROAAR!!!"
But as the electric charge that the machine launched the monster's roar got louder and louder and the light that Asher saw in its eyes got weaker and weaker fading gradually
"What!? What's happening to him?" Asher asked, his expression pale, as he observed the creature's suffering and contorted expression.
Shadow's voice, laced with both urgency and dread, sliced through the cacophony. "Kill him. Kill him quickly," he commanded.
"A-Alright..." Asher, though confused by the situation, knew that things were getting out of hand. He had promised to eliminate the threat, and he needed to act.
With his heart pounding in his chest, Asher raised his baton, a last vestige of hope trembling in his hands. He swung with all his might, aiming for the trapped undead's head, hoping to sever the unholy ties that bound it to its suffering existence.
Thud!!
The baton connected with the creature's head with a loud impact. However, to Asher's surprise, his attack proved futile. It was as if the very air itself deflected his blow, leaving no mark upon the creature's decayed flesh.
"ROAR!!!"
In response to Asher's failed attempt, the monster's fury intensified. It strained against its restraints with an otherworldly strength, its roars growing in both volume and malice. The very chains that had held it captive strained and groaned under the immense pressure, threatening to snap at any moment.
Clack!!
One of the restraints holding the monster's wrist cracked with a loud noise. With its free hand, the creature roared furiously and reached out towards Asher.
"..." Asher stared at the monster's abnormal strength with terrified eyes. He shifted his gaze to the restraints that held the creature's other hand, realizing they were in a precarious state, on the verge of breaking.
Terror seizing his heart, Asher turned and fled from the room, his footsteps echoing through the dimly lit corridor. The rhythmic pounding of his racing heart filled his ears. With each step, the monster's roars seemed to chase after him.
"Uh, uh..." As he ran, Asher's gaze darted from side to side, the flickering lights casting eerie shadows that danced along the corridor walls. His breath grew ragged, and beads of sweat dripped down his brow. While running with all his might, Asher turned to find Shadow beside him, maintaining the same distance without moving. "Shadow, it will break free at any moment. What should I do? I can't defeat it."
"ROAAR!!"
Before Shadow could answer, the doors on both sides of the corridor burst open with a bone-chilling creak, unleashing a flood of undead into the dimly lit space. They emerged from the darkened rooms, their distorted figures silhouetted against the flickering lights.
The monster's roars caught their attention. Asher's heart sank as he witnessed more than ten undead creatures approaching him, their decaying bodies moving with an unnatural hunger.
"ROAR!!"
Grotesque hands reached out, fingertips adorned with jagged nails, as the undead closed in on Asher from all sides. Their movements were sluggish yet determined, their sunken eyes fixed upon their prey with an insatiable lust for flesh.
Asher's senses were assaulted by the stench of decay, a nauseating combination of rotting flesh and stagnant blood that filled the air. The low moans of the undead mingled with the thunderous roars of the monster behind him, creating an overwhelming cacophony that sent shivers down his spine.
A gaunt undead with its jaw partially unhinged lunged at Asher, its gaping mouth hungry for a taste of his flesh. Reacting swiftly, Asher swung his baton in a powerful arc, connecting with the side of the creature's head. The force of the blow caused its skull to audibly crack, sending shards of bone flying through the air. The undead stumbled back, momentarily stunned, but quickly regained its footing, its twisted limbs contorting in an unnatural manner as it advanced once more.
Asher tightened his grip on the baton as the horde closed in. He found himself overwhelmed by their sheer numbers. With each swing of his baton, he struck down one undead, only to find another taking its place. The floor beneath him became slick with blood, causing his footing to become uncertain. Despite the chaos surrounding him, Asher continued to fight, his movements fueled by a desperate will to survive.
As Asher desperately fought against the horde of encroaching undead, their relentless advance closing in on him from all sides, a deafening silence fell over the corridor. The moans and roars of the undead ceased, replaced by an eerie stillness that sent a chill down his spine.
In the midst of this unsettling calm, a primal growl reverberated through the air, rising in volume until it reached a bone-shattering crescendo. The monstrous creature emerged from the darkness, its hulking form dwarfing the surrounding undead.
With every step it took, the floor trembled beneath its weight. Its decaying flesh hung loosely from its massive frame, its once-human features twisted into a grotesque parody of a face. A feral hunger burned in its eyes, the dim light reflecting off the pools of malice within.
The monster's elongated limbs propelled it forward in a predatory lunge, closing the distance between itself and Asher with terrifying speed. Its claws, razor-sharp and stained with the blood of countless victims, slashed through the air with deadly precision.
"Shadow, Shadow... What should I do?" Asher cried out, the monster closing in and crashing through the shocked undead in its path. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, Asher swung his baton at the monstrosity, aiming for its head. With all his remaining strength, he struck with a force that would have felled a lesser opponent. But his attack proved futile, as the creature's decayed flesh absorbed the blow without flinching.
With a ferocious growl, the monster lunged towards Asher, its elongated claws aimed for his vulnerable flesh. Time seemed to slow down as Asher's survival instincts kicked in. In a desperate bid for freedom, he threw himself to the side, narrowly evading the monster's lethal strike.
The force of the monster's attack sent a gust of wind whistling past Asher's ear, a chilling reminder of how close he had come to death. As he rolled across the cold floor, his heart pounding in his chest, he cast a glance back at the creature.
Breathing heavily, Asher retreated against the wall, his eyes locked on the approaching horror. The swarm of undead closed in, their rotting flesh and jagged teeth inching closer with each agonizing second. Just as Asher began to
lose hope, he suddenly heard a low voice, "Let me take control."
Asher turned towards the sound to find Shadow standing by his side. "What!? What do you mean?"
"I will take control of the body. Just don't fight it," Shadow said.
"What!?..." Asher was confused.
"I don't have time to explain. If you don't want to die here, when you feel my presence, don't fight it," Shadow replied.
Hearing Shadow's confusing words, Asher was unsure but seeing the undead closing in, he said, "A-Alright..." Thus, in an instant, a wave of darkness started engulfing Asher's mind. His vision blurred, the edges of his consciousness fading away. In that fleeting moment, time seemed to slow as he felt that he was slowly losing control of his body.
