"DIETHER, it's malice," Sonata said weakly. "They poisoned you with malice mixed in the blood of a divine being."
That was how the blood of her husband tasted, after all.
"I'm confused," Diether said, knitting his eyebrows. "What do you mean by that?"
"Do you often drink red wine in the temple?"
"We drink red wine every Friday night," her husband explained. "It's a tradition for the Avari Holy Knights to do so. Apparently, the red wine in the temple was created by Goddess Avari herself…" He trailed off, then he knitted his eyebrows. "Do you think someone has tampered with my drinks?"
"Yes."
"But how come you were so sure that the poison used to poison me was mixed in with the red wine I often drink in the temple?"
"Because that was how I built my immunity to poisons," she explained bluntly. "My guardians would mix poisons with my brother's blood, then they put it in the red wine they would make me drink."
