Akira woke up with a frown. The one thing she hated more than her mom's shouts was the repeated ringing from her alarm clock, the same clock that was the reason for her mood. She stretched her limbs, yawning as she moved to the edge of her bed. She leaned over to pick the pillow on the floor, the one she had used to cover her ears from her alarm clock. "Akira! Get yourself downstairs right now before I come up there and get you up" Letting out an inaudible groan, Akira mentally lamented. Monday morning's always had a way of her with her two most hated sounds; her mother's wake up shouts and her noisy alarm clock. Lazily, she made her way to the bathroom to quickly take her bath and dress up. Today, being a special day, she wore her combat boots and Mickey Mouse gown. She had her chestnut coloured hair in a messy bun.

Today was indeed a special day for Akira, having just turned 18, she was given the choice of schooling in Mystic Heights, a school created by the realm of magic for the main purpose of bringing unity amongst mystical creatures across all the realms. But, the main reason for this day being special was not just for this. Today, Akira felt another step closer to finding what realm her father disappeared into. Mystic Heights was most likely to have the answers she needed. "Akira aren't you done?", her mother questioned peaking inside through the slightly opened room door "Breakfast is ready" Akira got up smoothening her dress, "I'm done mom" Together they headed downstairs to the kitchen. Her mom had prepared waffles and freshly squeezed orange juice. "Thanks", she expressed her gratitude with palms clapped together and a slight nod, this was a tradition in her home. "Okay, mouth open", her mom demonstrated as she brought close a piece of waffle to Akira's mouth. Opening her mouth Akira let her mom stuff in more waffle pieces into her mouth. She hastily chewed, pushing down her swallowed meal with the orange juice. "Oh now you're in a haste", her mother mocked, then got up to get her keys "Let's go" Akira got up, swung her bag over her head and followed her mom to the garage. Starting the engine, they drove off. "I'm sure you would love it there", her mom stated tuning the radio low. Akira responded with a "yeah", her attention was focused on the people moving outside. "Akira", her mom called out to get her attention "Yeah", Akira responded turning her attention to her mom, who had a scolding look on her face. "Some attention please" Slightly embarrassed Akira mumbled a "sorry". Her mom let out an audible sigh. "As I was saying, I'm sure you would love Mystic Heights, I didn't get the opportunity to go there but your aunt went there and she loved it" "sure", Akira replied thinking about what secrets Mystic Heights could have. She just wanted all the information she could acquire about all the realms. "Plus you never know your mate could be there" Akira swiftly turned her head back to her mom. This was a conversation she had always wanted to avoid ever since she turned 18. Her mom grinned, "I'm just stating facts, you're in your prime to find your mate" "Mom", Akira groaned desperately wanting to reach her destination more quickly. She turned away from her mom and began staring at the tall trees that aligned in their paths. "Imagine you and your mate running round the woods close to your school…" "Mom! I see the school!", Akira exclaimed interrupting her mom. Indeed, they had arrived at their destination, Mystic Heights. The school was extremely huge and seemed like a little city on its own. Akira could even spot two floating towers both at the left and right wing of the school. "Wow", she gasped in awe. It was like a fairytale school, she was already guessing what creatures some of the students were. Everyone looked so human. "Isn't it beautiful? Always expecting the best from the realm of magic " Akira agreed with her mom's words. They had already gone through the enchantment and was heading to the parking lot. As they got down, Akira twirled feeling like she was in another planet. "Akira!", a familiar voice called out gaining her attention. "Carin" Akira let out a broad smile. Carin was her best friend and another reason she considered today a special day. "You finally made it", Carin had trap Akira in a bear hug, excitement clearly in display. "Good day Mrs. Yang" Carin released a gasping-for-air Akira to greet Akira's mom. "How have you been? Hope no stress", Akira's mom questioned her. "All has been going well", Carin replied reassuring Akira's mom of her daughter's well-being "Ah!", Carin exclaimed "No boxes?" "Boxes?", both Akira and her mom questioned with a puzzled look on their faces Carin let out a deep sigh, "Akira Yang did you even properly read the pamphlet?" "My fault", Akira gave a guilty look to both her mom and her friend. Her mom sighed rubbing her brows, "I will go pack and prepare your suitcases. I'll try bringing them in the afternoon" "Thanks Mom", Akira replied grateful for her mom's assistance. They waved goodbye as Akira's mom drove off the school premises. Just as she left, the big bell at the very top of the school began to ring. "Shoot! We need to reach the hall first" "What for?", Akira asked being dragged by Carin "An announcement properly", Carin replied. The announcement turned out to be a welcome greeting to the new students and introduction of high tiers to them. Those information's Akira found quite boring and dozed off. She was later woken up by her friend, who gave her proper scolding.

For the whole day, Carin was Akira's tour guide, leading her round the school and showing her some unrestricted places to chill. The more Akira learnt about the school, the more interesting it seemed. From the knowledge she had acquired, she learnt that Mystic Heights didn't operate by just one person but by five leaders- The Werewolf Clan, The Vampire Clan, The Witch Clan, The Mystic Clan and the last Clan, though she hadn't heard anything about it. These information she got made her realize something, one of this clan would have a clue about which realm her Dad disappeared into.

"Welcome to Mystic Heights", the loudspeaker announced.
