Ella stood, jaw to the floor. Alice only wished she could stand up and close it for, for the first time since their friendship, Alice had managed to make the talkative Ella speechless, and she couldn't help but snicker. "Close your mouth if you don't wish to catch flies with it." Spoke Alice, Xavier gently squeezed her hand and only then did Ella react.
"What do you mean blood related? Neither mom or dad have relatives." she said looking towards the adjoining bedroom and back to her mother. Sarah crinkled her nose and said "Well, that's not accurate. Your father has no siblings, however...." She did not finish her sentence and for the second time since Ella walked into this hospital room, she was rendered speechless.
