'I can't believe it,' Irene thought, watching from above her plate how the group she was stalking apparently didn't take the young prince prisoner.
That little she could guess from how two out of the three of them appeared to care for him pretty well, even going as far as to invite him to the very same table they were occupying!
Irene looked around, casting a quick glance at the insides of this low-end inn. And without question, this sight was puzzling all the other guests just as well.
'To think a tribal prince would dine at the same table as the mercenaries…' Irene couldn't stop her lips from forming a small, weirded-out smile.
Even if she was too far from this area to know how things changed in recent years, she could easily tell how unconventional the behavior of this specific group was. And the way the third member of their group acted only served to put a massive emphasis on this point.
