That was the settings of the novel that I read when I was in college.
It focuses in a young man who lost his love ones inside of the gate and his goal to reach the pinnacle of power to stop the gate from reappearing for good..
I remember saying before that i wish one day I can read that novel again before it suddenly vanish into thin air.
I was puzzled at first on how could a novel with almost a thousand chapter suddenly vanish online but I shrugged it off and just focus on teaching my students... I never knew that after I closed my eyes for a second I will be transported inside of that novel!!
"Jason, you know that your students will miss you even if you were just late for a couple minutes right?" My co-teacher said to me.
"Yeah.. yeah.. I know I'll just take a quick nap since I have an hour break before my class." I responded then wave him off.
"*Sigh* right, right, just do what you like '
I just closed my eyes and try to take a quick nap before I go to my next class when suddenly I was transported inside a morgue.
Ofcourse it was hard to link that novel to this strange phenomenon if only I didn't saw my reflection in one of a metal door where the corpse should be stored.
The first thing that runs in my mind was to escape this place.
"Out of all the people I can turn into why him?"
I quickly get off from the autopsy table and walk outside the morgue.
I walk through the eerie hallway till I see a nurse passing by so I quickly cover half of my face with my hands and approach her.
"Uhmm.. excuse me nurse where can I find the bathroom here?"
The nurse size me up and made a weird face then look at the patient gown Im wearing.
"You are on the wrong floor honey, this floor is for ER and morgue, the CR is on the 3rd floor. How did you even get in here?"
The nurse keep glancing at my hands that covers half of my face.
"It's just... I was... Sleep walking earlier I forgot how to go back in my room." I pretend to be a shy teenager and look down so she can't see my face.
Fortunately it seems like the nurse believe that articulated lie and showed me the way to the elevator.
When we get to the elevator she waited for me to get onboard and then pushed the button for me before parting ways.

Phew I almost got caught there luckily I look like a child for now and no one can suspect an 'inocent' looking child.
As I remember in that novel the body I currently have now was the minor villain named Victor and apparently he was one who became a stepping stone for the MC to be stronger.
I think that since I woke up in a morgue it must be that time where Victor and the MC clashed with each other resulting in Victor's defeat.
In the novel Victor kidnapped one of the MC's 'girl' friends and use her as a hostage. Ofcourse after that the MC save the girl, The villain almost killed the girl and then the MC suddenly fulfilled his second job requirements thus gaining an upper hand killing the villain and saving the damsel.
I must get away from here ASAP unless I want to die a second time.

Suddenly a notification sound was heard inside of my head the same time as the elevator's door opened.

*Sigh* nevermind for now I must escape this place and think later.
I walk through the elevator and find the emergency exit beside the bathroom then I exited the building with just wearing a hospital gown.

In the morgue.
Three people was now standing around an autopsy table one was a man who wear a lab coat, next was the nurse who helped Victor fin the elevator and third a handsome man wearing a formal office attire.
If Victor was here he could recognize the man who killed him now looking at the empty autopsy table.
"Find him, he might not get that far away and bring him to me once you found him."
The handsome man adjust his black gloves and look at the table with unknown thoughts.
"Don't you think he might have pretended to be dead after your fight to escape his crime?" The man in a lab coat blurted out.
The handsome man shake his head. "Impossible, I check his condition before and I know that his insides were badly damage to the point his survivability was 0"
He then put his hands inside of his pants and walk to the door. "Also the fact that you have a medical related job and written off his name as a dead person means he truly died."
The doctor adjust his eyeglass and look at the handsome man's cold eyes.
"Do you think he probably have a resurrection item?"
"We never know." The man said then proceed leaving the morgue.
*Sigh* just as I was about to rest and now this happens. The doctor then tell the nurse to lockdown the whole hospital.
Never have they know that Victor was already out of the hospital....
