A few days after Tenshi left his room, he was surprised by a new arrival. It wasn't anyone from his family, but one that belonged to another family entirely.
"Hi Tenshi, it's been awhile." The girl said with a smile.
"Hello Rin. I was hoping we could talk?" Tenshi answered politely.
The girl bowed her head. "As long as you aren't busy, I would love to talk."
She sat down on a nearby chair and looked at Tenshi with her bright red eyes.
"Why did you come here?" He asked curiously.
She laughed. "Because we are both heading to the academy today!" She said excitedly.
"Is that so?" Tenshi replied, "But shouldn't your family be taking you over? After all, you're the princess of the house of Iryoku."
Rin giggled and shrugged. "You're right, but my father had no time to bring me since they are out in the mainland collecting souls. I came because my uncle wanted me to attend the academy early, but I didn't want to go all alone."
Tenshi nodded. He knew how he felt when he arrived in this world; he hated everything about it until his brother helped him through everything.
They were silent for a moment. Then Rin spoke up.
"How is your training going? I heard you still can't mould your Kenshin?"
"I'm still struggling a little." Tenshi said honestly.
Rin nodded. "So, do you need help with anything?"
Tenshi thought for a moment and shook his head.
"No, master said my Kenshin might differ from others."
Rin nodded, not asking anymore questions.
"Well, follow me. I'll take you to the academy with my uncle."
The two got ready and left his room.
After passing through several corridors, they stopped in front of a door. A man with a long grey beard opened the door for them.
"My niece, it's about time. Are you ready to go?" The man asked her.
Rin looked at Tenshi and nodded.
They both exited the building and walked for some minutes until they finally reached the academy grounds.
"Now you can get used to the academy." The old man told Rin and Tenshi before leaving.
The two entered the building. As Tenshi and Rin walked, Tenshi could not stop himself from looking around at the unique buildings.
His eyes were wide open as he saw everything with his fresh eyes.
Rin giggled. "Is that strange?"
Tenshi shook his head and turned to her. "Not at all. This place is fascinating. I never expected to see something like this in my lifetime."
He looked over at Rin, who had a look of awe on her face.
"Yes, I'm also impressed." She admitted.
They walked up the stairs until they finally arrived at their destination.
They walked down the hallway until they arrived at a room.
Rin opened the door and saw three other people already waiting in the room. Two men and one woman.
The first man was an older man with long silver hair.
He sat next to Tenshi while talking to him.
His black robes covered his body, which was wrapped in bandages.
"I heard that you're the adopted son under the house of Kageuta?"
"Yessir!"
The old man nodded. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Ryoji Tetsuro. I will be your instructor for your class."
He then turned to Rin.
"I will also be your instructor."
"Thank you, sir." They both bowed.
Tetsuro waved his hand. "No need. This class is called R-10, meaning Reaper 10. This is where the most talented 10 reapers graduate from, and you royals get the right to automatically join it."
Then he paused with an embarrassing smile. "But who would've thought that six different royals would join this class?" The old man sighed.
"Umm, sir. Isn't it normal to have royals joining?" Tenshi asked.
Tetsuro shook his head. "No, reapers live a long life. 100x more than the average mortal, so we breed less in a short amount of time. You would be an adult if you're a mortal, but you're actually just a baby in our eyes."
Tenshi nodded.
Rin on the side was a little curious about which royals would be joining.
"Who are the other four?" Rin asked.
The old man sighed and thought for a moment. He remembered some things he heard while living at the academy.
"Well, the first one is the son of the current head of the house of Tasogarekaze." He told them.
Tenshi and Rin were silent for a moment as they thought about it.
"Then there are two young girls, both sisters from the House of Dainshau. They were born twins, one is a young girl named Mihri, the other is her older sister who was only known by the name Kia."
Rin and Tenshi looked at each other and nodded.
"Last, there is the daughter of the head of the house of Yagyo. She's called Oya."
After that, the three left. Tenshi opened his mouth.
"Oya? What kind of name is that?"
Rin giggled. "She has a rare skin colour, that's why her name is that."
The two waited for another hour until their class finally began.
Once they entered, the first thing Tenshi saw was a long table filled with different people around his age, all sitting at different seats, all with different styles.
Tanshi walked beside Rin and sat at the of the table
With her.
"Let me get this straight. These are my classmates?" Tenshi asked.
Rin nodded. "Yep. You're in a class with them."
Tenshi looked at them, but the entire class seemed to be focused on their instructor.
"Good morning, everyone. My name is Ryoji Tetsuro. You must call me the instructor. I will instruct you until your graduation." He then paused and smiled at them.
"To get started, I'll go over some history and the same basic things that you most know of."
Everyone in the room sighed as he spoke, knowing all the information they already knew.
"There are 7 ranks for a reaper.
1. Soul Shepherd
2. Shadow Harbinger
3. Wraith Warden
4. Spectral Sentinel
5. Deathbringer
6. Voidstalker
7. Reaper of Eternity
Each Rank represents one's ability and honour."
"Angels also have their own system:
1. Seraphim
2. Archangel
3. Principal Angel
4. Guardian Angel
5. Celestial Angel
6. Serene Angel
7. Divine Angel"
"Sir! What rank are you?" A girl with blue skin coloured asked.
The instructor smiled.
"I am a Spectral Sentinel, after 300 years of hard work."
Everyone was silent, stunned.
"Well, let's continue the class, shall we?"
