"Wait..! Can I actually..?"
"Er.. sure.."
Nathan tied back his hair, and with the help of the mechanical engineer, lifted himself up into the mech-suit, and was soon able to activate it.
Not too soon after, he heard a loud ear-piercing, screeching noise that almost wrecked his eardrums, making him immediately cover his ears in response.
"Don't worry much about the noise, it's just powering up."
He replied as if this was an ordinary occurrence for him.
He felt an odd sensation crawling all around his body, like there was an enormous amount of pressure on his body, but it slowly went away with time, and slowly, but surely, excitement overcame him.
The mech-suit was functioning correctly for a little while, but it didn't work for long, as it started to malfunction and eventually powered off once again.
"..Again..? I guess the problem was something else then.."
"You can come and see me later on, since you might prove to be a great assistant."
He didn't know what that truly meant for him, but he decided to comply.
"..Alright." Nathan left the room after picking up the strange object off the floor and placing it properly on the table, and went to go receive some other tasks.
"Hm?"
He had spent far too long in the other room, as the room seemed to have been much more organised than before, and the many researchers and scientists weren't scrambling around the place as much as before.
"I guess I'll go back to my room now."
As he turned around and walked away, he soon bumped into Athena and Thomas, those two from before.
"Nathan! We were wondering where you were! We're already done with everything."
"Huh? Did I really spend that much time in the other room?"
"Yeah, I guess so, but anyway, we decided that we want you to come with us to the Training Hall, since you're a pretty nice person that we'd actually be willing to hang around."
"Huh.. so there's a training hall here?"
"Yep, and it's where you can train your Core Control." Thomas replied, "Interested?"
"Then, I guess I'll have to go and see this training hall with you guys first."
The three of them left the room, and traversed the many different corridors, turning left, right and left again, until they finally made it to a automatic metal door, much like the other doors leading to the other rooms in the spaceship.
Little did Nathan know it was leading to something he probably had never imagined he'd see in his lifetime.
"This is it."
They entered, and Nathan was shown something completely beyond the realm of his own imagination.
The room was massive and very spacious, with the walls and ceiling made and reinforced with a hard metal, and there were tons of people everywhere he looked, it seemed to be where nearly everyone in the entire spaceship was.
Also, those people, they weren't "normal" or "ordinary" in the slightest..
"They.. they have powers..?!?"
He was correct, from telekinesis all the way to the manipulation of the elements, they were all here.
"…? Don't you know that already? Oh, wait.." Athena said, she forgot only for a second that Nathan had "lost his memory".
"They are not just simple powers and abilities, these "powers" come from a source, us humans, and other species, have the power to borrow it from the [Celestials], beings from the beyond that seem to have no origin."
"We borrow our own power from the Celestial named, [Blazing Winged Ark]." Thomas lifted up his hand to show Nathan, and a single, purple flame lit up in his hand, and it soon grew into a blazing fire that could swallow up a whole person, but just like that, it dissipated instantly.
"This is only a small bit of what we can really do, and by using the training hall, we can learn to control our inner core energies more, which allows us to use their power." Thomas said.
"Well, not exactly use, but we manipulate our inner core energies and try to mimic the power of a Celestial that has "blessed" us with their permission."
"Woah.."
"Also, our inner core energies are usually "in-tune" with an element. If your inner core energies are in-tune with an element, you will only be able to mimic the power of a Celestial of that same element, although there are some rare cases.."
"We really wanted to show you around this place, since it was our first time giving someone a tour of one of the facilities of the spaceship, even though it wasn't exactly a tour at all, because of how short it was."
"Right.."
He remembered that Luna told him he couldn't train his inner core energies because of a disability he had, and jealousy arose within him because he knew he probably couldn't get abilities like them.
"Nathan!"
He was shocked out of his thoughts, as someone had called out his name from across the training hall, which made his body slightly twitch in surprise.
He turned around, only to see at the opposite side of the room, Luna, and someone standing besides her too.
"Luna? She's here too?"
"Oh, see you two later."
He went off almost immediately after, rushing to meet this friend of his.
"How much do you wanna bet they're dating?" Athena grinned.
"Well, I bet 10,000 Core Crystals that they aren't dating."
"..! You'd be able to buy so much with that money..! Did you save up?"
"Ha. While you were buying everything you could see under the stars, I instead saved up. Which is exactly why I'm richer."
Athena giggled deviously, in a happy mood because she thought she was going to win the bet for sure.
"Hm. Let's ask him later."
"..So, that guy's name was.. Nathan, correct?"
Someone had approached the two from behind, and somehow, they weren't able to notice him.
"…?"
They turned around, and they saw a man of quite tall stature, with short, jet-black hair, and glowing, dark red eyes. He smirked.
"It seems like only I had noticed this, but the aura he gave off, was something that I had never felt before," He said, "Yet, it was also quite familiar.. that's interesting."
"..Who are you?" Athena asked, "Do you know Nathan from somewhere?"
"No, but, I think, he might be a threat to the spaceship."
"..Really?" They weren't buying it at all.
"Because of how crazy he is, it could even be possible that he came in contact with a subordinate of the evil gods, or he could have even made a contract with one of the highest Gods themselves."
"What..?! Why would he something so insane? Nathan would never do that, even though I've only interacted with him a few times before, he didn't seem crazy at all to do something like that."
"Yeah, I never got that vibe off of him either."
"That doesn't matter, because the truth will be revealed." He went off, marching towards where Nathan was.
"Wait..! Shouldn't we stop him?" Athena said.
"Nope, he probably won't stop there, that guy is Aiden, remember?"
"Aiden? Oh.. that Aiden."
Meanwhile, Nathan went over to Luna, who was waiting for him.
"Nathan..!"
"I had a feeling you were here, I've been looking for you everywhere."
"Really?"
Nathan looked at the person besides her for a moment.
"Who's he?"
"I'm also a friend of Luna. We've known each other for a long, long time, my name's Dean."
He was tall, and had broad shoulders, alongside a bandage that was plastered on the side of his face.
Nathan felt his insides twist, and he thought that it was probably due to the fact that he hadn't eaten anything since he came here.
"Wait, Nathan, have you learnt how to borrow power using your inner core energies?"
"Nope."
"Huh.. since you were in the training hall, I thought you would have decided to try and train your [Core Control] too."
"Core Control? Is that.. how you learn how to control your inner core energies more?"
The two of them were impressed by how he explained it, even though it was known throughout the entire spaceship that he lost his memory, he was still able to explain it that well.
The two of them simultaneously thought, did he actually lose his memory?
"..Wow, you hit the mark, pretty impressive."
"Oh yeah, Nathan, there's still something we have to talk about."
"I told them about-"
She couldn't finish her sentence, as she was suddenly interrupted, because in that very moment, a punch that was strong enough to easily punch through walls made of steel was thrown, targeting the back of Nathan's head.
"Nathan, look out!"
Nathan didn't know what was happening, but he knew that whatever it was, it was definitely too late to avoid it in time.
"….!"
To his surprise, nothing happened, so he turned around, only to see a tall man, who had dark red eyes, only a few inches away from punching his face, and Dean, who had thankfully diverted the punch and stopped it from reaching his face.
"Who are you?"
