"Yeah nun, thank God for that" He said getting a soda

"Because I actually had time to set my alarm I guess, not being busy helps a lot" Niko said

"Probably hang with Julius, is it alright if he comes down here" Koen asked
"Sure, I don't mind there's snacks in the cabinet, which u already know so" Niko said
"Anyway I am off to work, don't do anything crazy, see ya Ko" Niko said leaving
"I can't believe they just dropped the case like that that's insane" Niko said

"But living here, it happens a lot they waltz down here like they are the saving stars or something after ya got crucial evidence and is on a roll, then boom all of a sudden, this case is bigger than us" Austin said
"Anyway Chief wants you to get to know the rest of the detectives" Austin said
Niko walked in the room filled with people talking and sipping on coffee like they haven't had water in 10 days
"Guys, this is Niko, ik y'all probably seen him before at roll call, but y'all ain't really get to know him, like that so here he is" Austin said grabbing Niko and showing everyone him

"This is Detective Dijon Lewis" Austin said
"Hello, Detective Lewis" Niko said extending out his hand

"It's nice it's nice, I'm not too happy about our recent case though, the FBI took over" He said
"Man they always doing that, Minna you remember our case about that missing woman and they said it was like 10 organizations in on the damn thing" Dijon said

"Nice to meet you Detective Khada" Niko said extending his hand once again
"You know you don't gotta call them Detective all the time right, just use their first names" Austin said
"That's Detective, Andri De la Croix, Naveen Fontaine, Joel Thompson, Jude Fernsby, Ryker Mitch, Adrian Hiramatsu, Yaxkin Nakai, Sabrina Katz, Aliyah Young and, Liliana Valdez" Austin said
"It's wonderful to finally meet you guys like this, I'm honored to learn from all of you, really it'd truly mean a lot to me" Niko said smiling at everyone
"Why did they send a country boy here, he barely even knows his way around the city" Ryker said

"Well, Detective Ryker Mitch I will be happy to learn from you too, as a matter of fact I have to not treat new Detectives like you do" Niko said
Ryker grunted and walked to the coffee machine
"Don't worry about him, Niko he's just mad because people are coming in here better and you get than him, he's 33 and ur 23 that makes guys like him mad you know" Austin said
"I understand I've hand guys like him back home, I'm not letting selfish attitudes stop me" Niko said
"Attaboy that's the spirit" Austin said hitting Niko's back
"What's it like in Texas" Detective Jude Fernsby asked
"Well for one it's hot" Niko said laughing
"As a matter of fact that part is true, it is hot in Texas" Jude said
"Are you from here, Sir" Niko asked
"No I'm from Bristol England" He said
"I also got promoted to come here as my city didn't pay very well" He said
"Oh I guess I came here for the pay, but also to experience something beyond my hometown" Niko said smiling
"So you're from Texas, you been to rodeos" Detective Aliyah Young asked
"As a matter of fact i have been to my fair share of rodeos" Niko said

"Sure I have, it's nice practicing at ranges though you get better aim" He said

"Yes it was hard, but it was harder for my nephew poor guy had to leave all his friends behind" Niko said
"You can always visit your home again though" Yaxkin said
"That's correct, and we most certainly will" He said
A man bumped Niko out of the way to get something from the snack cabinets
"Oh sorry" Niko said
"Don't apologize to him, Andri you say him standing there say excuse me next time" Liliana Valdez said

"He talks like a fucking hillbilly" Detective Joel Thompson said
"What the hell is you guys' problem" Austin said walking over to Ryker, Andri and Joel
"Nothing man, we're just pointing out things that are true, you can go defend that guy if you want but I don't like him who the hell moves over here for a detective job" Ryker said
"Jude, Sabrina, Adrian and me and Niko" Austin said
"Austin you pretend to be some type of hardened city "vibes" man, but deep down inside your a little West Virginian boy Ryker said sipping his coffee
"And you're no man, you don't deserve that badge disrespecting another detective like that, Niko caught two guys on like his second day here I don't remember you doing that" Austin said
"Austin shut up and go talk to a wall, I do t even know how you got to be a detective" Andri said
"Someone as big and dumb as he is had to cheat" Joel said
"You guys are three walking shames, you know that" Austin said walking off
"Come on Niko" Austin said
"I don't understand why those guys don't like me, I appreciate you sticking up for me Austin, but there comes a point in time where a man has to fight his own battles" Niko said
"I suppose you're correct" Austin said smiling
"Bro I'm so bored" Koen said
"Dude, me too" Julius said
"What do you do on a hot day" Koen said

The boys sat in the couch both falling down in sync and going ahhhhh at the same time, the two boys both laughed
"Yo you seriously went out with Kailani yesterday" Julius asked
"Yeah man, it was pretty nice she even held my hand" He said
"Are you serious that's insane bro, I'd die for that chance, damn you just barely got that and picking up girls like that" Julius said
