"Please, follow me Hero." Thoka said as she began to walk down a hallway.
Yuuji immediately began to follow her before saying, "My name is Yuuji Wakana, just call me Yuuji not hero."
"Well then, Yuuji follow me to the meeting room." Thoka responded while not wanting to pry into why Yuuji doesn't want to be called hero.
Moments later, they arrived at a door that was being guarded by 2 people.
"Welcome back miss Thoka!" Both shouted whilst bowing to Thoka.
"Thank you. Now, don't let anyone in this room unless it's an emergency." Thoka ordered.
"YES MA'AM!" The guards shouted in sync while still bowing. One of the guards opened the door so Thoka and Yuuji can enter the room. Both thanking the guard, they entered.
Inside they were met with a huge room, and in the middle stood a round table with multiple seats. Thoka gestured to Yuuji to take a seat, which he accepted. As both were seated they began to talk.
"Before we begin, can I ask you a few questions?" Yuuji asked politely.
"Go ahead." Thoka responded nonchalantly.
"What is this place? What are those crystals, that you, the loli catgirl, and the white witch have? why me specifically? And why do you guys need a hero? " Yuuji asked rapidly, whilst looking worried for the first time.
"Let's take this step by step. First, this place is called Wintervale, as you heard. It's one of the seven nations of this world. These crystals," Thoka held up her crystal. "Give people magic that correlate to what talents they have. As for why you were summoned, it was perhaps by fate. And lastly, the reason we need a he-"
As Thoka was to finish answering the questions she was suddenly interrupted by a guard noisily rushing into the room.
"MISS THOKA! THERE'S AN EMERGENCY! MONSTERS ARE ATTACKING THE CITIES WALLS!" The guard shouted while being out of breath.
"Yuuji, it's time to defend this city." Thoka said while standing up. However, Yuuji didn't stand up instead he continued to sit.
"I am not a hero, I can't do anything to defend this city." Yuuji responded while looking down.
"Oh." Thoka said out loud, a bit shocked by Yuuji's response before the sudden realization of what he meant with the questions. "You may not think you're a hero, but fate runs its course, it chose you to be the hero since it sees the potential in you. Don't let yourself be pulled down by your doubts."
Listening to Thoka, Yuuji couldn't decide what to do, he didn't want to disappoint Thoka, but he believed he couldn't do anything. Moments passed as Yuuji was in deep thought, but suddenly he ruffled his hair. "FINE LETS PROTECT THIS CITY!" Yuuji shouted as he stood up.
