The more Gladius spoke, the more his voice sounded sage.
By now, Leon and Gladius have forgotten the contract event and Leon has completely forgiven Gladius... even though he still cursed and berated him during his past training drills.
Meanwhile, Gladius continued his lecture, "To learn this skill, you need to study the wind's movement and how to use it to your advantage
But this skill depends solely on wind flow, when the wind direction is against the direction of your slash, the additional damage that is given by the skill will reduce by fifty percent, but if the wind flow is with the direction of your weapon the technique would increase your slash attack power by hundred percent"
As he said this held his sword with a firm grip, and then he continued
"This technique is called AirGuide," he said with a serious tone. "Once you master it, you will be able to use the air to increase the attack power of your normal attacks by multiple folds."
Leon listened carefully, taking in every word Gladius spoke. The Sword God then raised his sword and took a deep breath. The wind from the waterfall breezed by, making his hair flutter a bit. He swung his greatsword forward, Though a Greatsword is said to be a relatively large weapon with a large surface area, the slash was still fast and precise, it was as graceful and unpredictable as the wind as if it was the wind itself.
He gracefully repeated the movement over and over, demonstrating how the wind could be used to increase the power of his attacks. As he swung his sword, the wind created a sharp cutting motion that could easily slice through solid objects. Leon watched in amazement, taking in every detail of the technique.
Finally, Gladius turned to Leon and nodded. "Now, it's your turn," he said, with a calm but firm demeanor.
Leon stepped forward, raising his sword, and followed his teacher's every move. Though he struggled at first, days passed, with Leon practicing the technique all day long. After practicing it for seven days, he soon began to understand the technique and master it. The entire journey to Air Guide mastery was rough but Leo was able to pull it off.
And just like that, Leon mastered AirGuide, thanks to Gladius's guidance and mastery of the technique.
Gladius and Leon walked side by side, their Greatswords sheathed at their sides. The sky was painted with hues of pink and orange, a beautiful sight to end their training session.
As they reached the spring, Gladius turned to Leon and spoke in a low voice. "Your skills have improved greatly, Leo. You have the potential to reach my level of sword mastery, you have to strive to get strong fast, my soul won't be at rest till Zeus is killed."
Leon smiled, feeling a sense of pride at his master's words. "Thank you, Gladius. I couldn't have done it without your guidance and training, and don't worry about Zeus for the time being, I will surely kill him when the time comes."
Gladius nodded a hint of a smile on his lips. If it was any other person or God that said that he would kill Zeus, Gladius wouldn't believe it, but since Gladius himself knew of the System's capabilities and what the System had in store for Leon, he was sure that one day, Leon would be capable of slaying Zeus.
Nevertheless, he continued, "Even with all this training, you are still at 1% rising to fifty is not going to be easy in the slightest, but training won't affect it much, what would affect your sword mastery is real life battles, life and death battles, those are the real deal, that's what you need. But still, you can visit this place anytime to continue your training"
Leon nodded in agreement, the lesson not lost on him. He knew that his training had just begun and that he had much more to learn from his master.
As they drank from the spring and rested, Leo enjoyed the peaceful moment, the sound of the water and chirping birds soothing his tired body.
'I need to rest'
This was the last thing he thought before his consciousness drifted off to dreamland...
*****
In his dream, he saw Deus and Gladius.
Gladius, a high God, the God of Swords, whose name alone could bring terror into the hearts of Gods and mortals alike, and Deus, the legendary God of Souls... These two were in an intense standoff.
Deus's face was cold and emotionless, while his eyes were glowing bright, brighter than his glowing body and silver hair, his incandescent glow illuminated the entire dark expanse.
Gladius himself, as the God he was, was also glowing, but his glow couldn't compare to Deus, On his face, was an easygoing smile, without the hint of his so-called obsession, in his hand, a silver sword, glowing as bright as Deus's eyes. the glow was caused by the terrifying amount of Divine sword intent infused in it, just a look at the sword could obliterate without any touching, any mortal that was looking.
Gladius was the first to speak...
"I have always wanted to meet you, I never thought that when I do, we will meet as enemies."
"Why are you here?" Deus replied, in his usual cold voice.
"Aaah, just as cold as I thought you were," Gladius said nonchalantly, simultaneously slashing his sword at Deus.
His sword slash, sent a terrifying arc of of sword aura, glowing brightly like an arc of light, towards Deus.
Deus's face remained stoic, even though that attack that was coming his way, could destroy galaxies and be the terror of all Gods.
If only Gladius knew, that his most prized attack appeared weak in the eyes of Deus.
As if on cue to my words, Deus said a single word, "Weak."
Just like that, the Sword arc froze on its path, but at the same time, it appeared unstable, as if it could explode at any moment. But then, it disappeared the next second, as if it wasn't there in the first place.
Gladius himself was frozen, on his face, a look of horror, he didn't know why but his body was no longer listening to him, and why his heart felt as if it was being compressed by an unknown force.
"W-what h-ave you done t-to... me" he managed to speak, albeit with a little bit of struggle.
Deus ignored his question but said. "Everything has a Soul, your biggest mistake is going against me... and your soul is quite interesting and for that, I will take it..."
"What?!"
Before Gladius could continue speaking, he blanked out.
He died just like that...
Looking at Gladius's corpse that has lost its glow, Deus clicked his tongue, "Tsk..."
But then, his eyes looked at his surroundings, noticing several glowing silhouettes appear...
Before the scene could continue, Leo woke up on his bed, breathing heavily.
