Chapter 23 - End Of Spar!

In the vast expanse of the open grassland, Gladius the Sword God emanated an imposing presence, standing tall with his dark hair neatly tied back. A few loose strands danced gently in the wind, framing his strong features. His grip on the Greatsword was steady, displaying silent confidence as he faced off against his disciple, Leon.

Hearing Leon's words he grinned, "Yeah, that's the spirit! Come to me with everything you got!"

Leon had a striking appearance with his silver hair, and his eyes glimmered with unwavering determination. He stood up and grunted softly as he felt the burning pain searing all over his body, the gangster clothes he had imagined, materialized, and worn before the duel was now covered with cuts and tears.

Looking at his torn clothes, Leon sighed and with a single thought, the clothes on his body were removed and replaced with a brand-new cloth that materialized out of thin air.

The entire thing was like changing clothes in a VR game!

Seeing that his clothes is all good, and had hidden his miserable body that was ridden with injuries.

Leon raised his sword high and shifted his stance with purpose, he readied himself for the clash that was about to unfold.

With an explosive roar, Leon charged toward Gladius, his Greatsword held high above him. Gladius swiftly responded, launching a flurry of strikes toward his disciple.

Leon parried all the attacks with renewed vigor, he knew that the fight is not going to be easy, but he was not willing to go down so easily.

As they fought, the clash of their swords reverberated through the air, echoing with a resounding impact. The intensity of their training duel was palpable, evident in their spirited engagement. Both men poured their hearts into this confrontation, fully committing themselves to the moment.

Gladius, a seasoned warrior, demonstrated his remarkable skill with the Greatsword, seamlessly twirling and spinning his weapon with finesse. Leon found himself primarily on the defensive, attempting to match his master's speed and precision. However, Leon possessed a keen intellect and a quick-learning nature. Gradually, he began to decipher Gladius's techniques, capitalizing on the opportunity to grow and improve.

Soon, his mastery of the Greatsword started growing. The more the fight was prolonged, the more he learned!

Leon knew that all these were the result of his master being the Sword God himself and his high talent for Swords, if not for these, reaching even 1% of Sword mastery is going to take years of practice.

The battle raged on, with the metallic clang of their swords serving as a constant soundtrack for their efforts. Beads of sweat rolled down Leon's face, a testament to his unyielding dedication as he pushed himself to his limits. He yearned to acquire and master every aspect of Gladius's Greatsword skills. With each passing second, Leon's strength surged, his movements becoming increasingly fluid and precise.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the intense duel reached its conclusion. Gladius stood facing Leon who lay on the ground, his back on the ground and his front facing the sky, Gladius was calm and didn't break a sweat during the spar it was as if he just took a walk in the Park, while Leon was breathing heavily, his Greatsword resting calmly by his side.

Leon's features were marked with exhaustion, but beneath it all, a profound sense of accomplishment shone through.

But still, he knew all this alone was not enough, he needed more!

But that was it, he was both exhausted and riddled with injuries that he couldn't cure because the soulsubspace couldn't affect his body directly.

He immediately imagined a bottle of water and went to the spring to fetch some water to drink.

He could, without doubt, imagine water and drink but his imagination could never be good and detailed as a spring, already lying in wait for him.

Drinking plenty of bottles till his thirst for water was satiated, Leon took in a deep breath and sighed as he reminisces all the past events that happened in this place.

"I give you an hour's rest, we will continue our duel once resting time is up," Gladius said as he walked out of the place.

"Should I spend my resting time outside, on Earth? "

[Don't Dare, you would break the time dilation balance between your Soulsubspace and earth, and once you enter this place again, everything would be reset to its original form, so the time dilation effect wouldn't be there by that time, it would be lost]

[So, you can't leave the Soulsubspace till the 30 days are over]

Leon sighed in response, he then went to go take a bath in the spring.

He did not know why he wasn't feeling hungry, even though he has not eaten for weeks now, but he knew the System had a hand in it, that leveling up must have made his need for food lessen.

The training continued for another week, Leon doing nothing but sparing with Gladius.

Leon had now stayed two weeks in the soul subspace and is currently sparing with Gladius.

Clang-!!

At one minute, Gladius used the hilt of his great sword to knock off the Greatsword on Leon's hand...disarming Leon of his weapon.

Seeing this, his eyes twitched. "As expected, your grip is not firm enough, I have a new training drill for you"

Leon was exasperated, despite all the training, how could his grip not be firm enough!?

"But, isn't this because you are too strong!?" he blurted out.

Gladius shook his head in disagreement, "Losing your weapon is the worst thing that could happen to you in battle, so you need to have a firm grip, I am planning to teach you a sword skill before you go out, so, if you can perfectly complete the Training drill within a week, then I can move to teach you the skill I have in mind"

"So what do you want me to do?" He said, feeling anxious. He knew the drill is not going to be easy in any way.

After sparing with Gladius for a week now, Leon has gained a few stats, He gained 10 to strength, 9 to agility, and 1 to stamina, but still, he wasn't able to level up, he hoped that the training drill would be the little push he needed to level up.
