Leon stood at the precipice of the roaring waterfall, feeling a mixture of awe and trepidation coursing through his veins. The sheer power and beauty of the rushing water created a mesmerizing sight, but it also revealed the challenge that lay ahead. With every cascade, the rocks beneath him glistened with a slick sheen, making each step treacherous and demanding a heightened sense of caution. Despite the looming danger, Leon's determination burned brightly within him, eclipsing any doubt that threatened to hold him back.
'Men, this is going to be hard. Fuck Gladius and his weird training drills" Leo muttered, inhaling deep breaths to his lungs, fortifying his resolve as he began his descent.
Each footfall was a carefully calculated maneuver, gingerly planting his feet onto the mossy rocks that lined the path. His fingers deftly clung to any available handhold, providing much-needed stability in the face of the tumultuous rush of water. The relentless sound of crashing waves and the misty spray that enveloped him obscured his vision, challenging his senses as he sought the safest path forward.
Leon's every muscle strained with an unwavering effort, as though they were tasked with bearing not only his weight but also the weight of his ambition. He valiantly fought against the forceful pull of the waterfall, summoning every ounce of strength and determination within him to remain steadfast on his course.
As he reached the halfway point, beads of perspiration formed on his forehead, his arms quivering with the accumulating weariness that tugged at his resolve. In one brief, heart-stopping moment, his foot slipped slightly on the damp moss, threatening to send him spiraling down the precipice.
'Damn it!'
Yet, like a dancer regaining balance after a misstep, Leon swiftly regained his equilibrium, enabled by both his sound reflexes and unwavering determination.
A fleeting pause granted him a respite, a chance to reclaim his breath from the gripping intensity of his endeavor. Lungs expanding and contracting in synchronized rhythm, he drew in the cool, mist-laden air, welcoming its restorative properties into every fiber of his being. With renewed vigor, he resumed his descent, taking one measured step after another, edging ever closer to his ultimate goal.
And finally, after what seemed like an eternity of unyielding determination and unwavering perseverance, Leon reached the bottom of the waterfall. It was as if time itself had stood still for a moment, the very essence of triumph emanating from him. Drawing in deep, fulfilling breaths, he turned around to gaze at the towering cascade he had just conquered.
The magnitude of his accomplishment washed over him, evoking a sense of awe and wonderment. A smile curled upon his lips, a testament to the realization that he had transcended his limitations, proving to himself that he was capable of achieving feats he had never previously fathomed.
But he knew that this was not the end, but still the beginning of his training drill, as he had nineteen more times to complete these circles for the day...
*****
This circle continued for a week, with Leon climbing up and down the waterfall about twenty times a day, by now, things were not as hard as it was before and he had succeeded in leveling up to level 9...
And now, he is currently in his last week of training.
He and Gladius were currently having a training.
As the sound of sword clashes reverberated through the air, Leon found out he was now able to resist Gladius's weapon knockout/weapon-disarming move.
After all, he climbed a waterfall, and the slippery moss on the waterfall rocks with nothing but his bare hands so things like this are to be expected especially when he and Gladous are fighting with the same strength.
"Your grip is firm enough, now it's time to teach you the skill that I wanted," Glasius said after ending the duel.
As usual, Leon was defeated but he was not defeated as brutally as he was defeated before.
"You haven't learned how to manipulate the weird energy in you, so the skill I am going to teach you right now is unaffected by energy, you don't need Qi or any other energy to learn to wield this skill," Gladius said.
Leon nodded to his words as he had indeed found out that the energy in his body was different from the Qi he had always known.
Even as a mortal, the form of a particle of Qi is widespread. It's well known that Qi takes the form of a tiny wisp, which can't be seen even with the strongest microscope.
The only people who can see, sense, and wield Qi are people you can call Cultivators, and being a Cultivator is the dream of everyone because only a cultivator is capable of wielding real supernatural powers like fire, water, teleporting powers, and many more.
But the energy he uses does not bother him one bit, what matters to him is strength, as far as he gains more strength in the process of wielding that energy then nothing more matters.
"This technique can prove to be very useful when fighting in open places of air," Gladius said, his face turned stern, and his voice sagely.
"It took me thousands of years, to completely learn and master this art. It involves the usage of your natural environment to your advantage" He said, adjusting himself to a different stance.
"I will first teach you, AirGuide."
Leon's eyes twitched, noticing that Gladius sucks at naming skills. But still, he is not planning to change the name of any skill he learns from Gladius so that Gladius's Legacy would live on.
Nevertheless, Gladius continued, undeterred by Leon's thought. "AirGuide is a unique skill that allows you to use the air to your advantage, it makes air your ally which you must use to your advantage, with this technique, even without Qi or any other energy, a mortal's strength can be increased to a thousand fold"
"And of course, your attack power will be increased in such a manner only if you can master it"
