Jiangnan City - On the outskirts of Jiangnan city, a man was driving on the highway by himself without a soul in sight. Night time fell, and the man stopped outside of the Jiangnan tunnel, which was still under construction. On his right side was a steep cliff that could kill a person if pushed down. On the night of the full moon, another car with its headlight on drove at a high speed. The man who stopped came out of the car with his german shepherd, who was his partner in crime. The car that was driving suddenly braked.
"What the hell? Do you want to die?" A middle-aged man rolled down his car window, and he was pissed that the man in front of him had blocked him. The mysterious man came towards him without stopping. While the middle-aged man squinted his eyes, he could not see that man's face.
"Who the heck...?" The middle-aged man came out of the car, and a dog came running towards him as if it's going to eat him.
"Ahhh! Somebody save me! Help me!" The man screamed in terror while the masked man stood still.
"Kei, enough." The mysterious man asked his dog to come to him.
"Mr. Sun, I will let you live if you tell me the location of your CEO."
"W-Who are you?" The middle-aged man was still in fear.
"You don't need to know. But I can kill you and hide you so that no one can find you." The masked man walked closer to the man and then knelt down in front of him. He extended his right hand, that was gloved with a black leather glove, and started choking him. The man still didn't answer the question.
"Mr. Sun, it looks like you're not seeing the sun tomorrow. Kei, finish him!" The german shepherd was trained to kill, although it can also protect its owner as well. The masked man took out his smart device and eliminated Mr. Sun from his device. Mr. Sun worked for the Empire CEO until a few months ago.
Liu Yiguang took off his mask and then looked at the nighttime horizon. The smell of blood filled the air, and Yiguang closed his eyes. His memories went back to five years ago when he was with Anna Zhang, his first love. They were so in love until that tragic day when she was taken captive, and then her dead body was found on the same highway a few weeks later.
Yiguang went back to his car after getting rid of that man's body. Kei, his german shepherd, followed him as well. He took out Anna's photo, and then he swore to find her killer no matter how long it would take.
Zhang Kailin looked into her mirror and said, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall...who's the fairest of them all?" Then one of her friends surprised her, "Of course, it's you." Kailin smiled as she hugged her best friend. They were friends since elementary school. Kailin was a beautiful young woman, but ever since she was young, she was physically weak. Unlike her twin sister, she couldn't even run for a long distance without fainting. Her twin sister was much better than she was. But too bad, she can never see her again.
As Kailin and her friend got ready for the graduation party, they received a text alert about the party being delayed by a few hours. Since Kailin had a few hours to spare, she walked around her university just to say a last goodbye. Her university was also the biggest research university in all of Jiangnan city. Not only do they do experiments on animals, but they also do experiments on humans. Even though Kailin was interested in research, she couldn't stand being in a lab. The smell grossed her out, so she would rather stay at her desk doing research papers.
Kailin didn't know why the graduation party was delayed, but she didn't mind that at all. As she went down to the lobby, she saw a few black limos lining up perfectly by the entrance.
"Is someone important going to come as well?" She wondered. Kailin went the other way as several guys made their way into the school. She hid behind a white Greek-styled column that was near the stairwell. Their university lobby was separated into two sides, with a huge pathway in between. There were several men in suit who greeted the school director. Then, the school director showed them the way to one of their research labs.
Kailin's best friend, Jaime Ko, suddenly covered Kailin's mouth from talking.
"Jamie, I can't breathe! Let me go!" She whispered. Jaime told her to be quiet.
"If the school director sees us, we're going to be in trouble. Remember the text alert warning the students to stay inside their dorms?" Jaime showed Kailin the text message again and both of them didn't know where to go since there were other men in suits standing nearby.
"Crap... where do we go?" Kailin scouted the area and shook her head. "Those people are still here. We can't move."
"I guess we have to wait it out." Jaime looked at her phone and sighed. After half an hour, the men in suits came out of the lab, along with the school director.
"Our university is very proud to be working along with you guys. Don't worry, as soon as I get the results, I will send it to you." The school director was a tall male in his 50s. Even though everyone respects him, some still feared him.
"Who's the person talking to our school director?" Kailin asked.
"Don't you know? That's the Empire Groups CEO, Kian Hou. He's one of the most respected CEO in Jiangnan. I wish to be like him someday." Jaime explained as she looked at Kian. As they waited, Jaime looked up Kian's information on her phone. She was shocked to see that Kian was actually on the run. Jaime pretended not to know anything and after the men left, she took Kailin to their dorm from the back of the school.
A few minutes after, Kailin noticed her necklace was missing. She told Jaime to go back first as she went to grab the necklace. Just as she was about to find the necklace, someone came behind and drugged her. As she was unconscious, a man with the mask came into the school uninvited. He picked up the necklace and opened up the small locket to see a photo of his dead lover.
"Anna..."
