Alisha felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. She knew that Kelvin was right, and them crossing paths was just the beginning.
"So... the outside world, what was it like?"
Kelvin didn't really get what Alisha met, so she had to explain further. "I mean...., outside Ratel city, what is it like? I've been longing to get out of this city, you see." Alisha uttered.
"Well..., there's a lot out there. But Ratel city was built for our kind so, I won't say the outside world is better than Ratel...., if we're not safe out there." Kelvin proclaimed, his eyes on Alisha.
Alisha whispered with determination, "I can't wait to see where this path takes us," grinning at Kelvin. He smiled back, his eyes twinkling. "Me too, Mystery. Me too."
Alisha was surprised that Kelvin had heard her almost inaudible words. She jokingly asked if really heard her.
"Yeah, am a vamp remember?" said Kelvin. "And of course, you heard me." Alisha smiled smugly, felling a little bit shy.
Kelvin added, "come on, don't be disappointed, you see it coming."
They laughed it off, but their moment was interrupted by Ethan minutes later.
Ethan just arrived at the ceremony. He seemed to have rushed down since he was running late.
Ethan, looking all Fabolous and stylish started looking for Alisha. Ethan had just returned from investigating more on the werewolves deaths. A witch directed him outside the ceremony hall where he spotted Alisha and Kelvin flirting. He got jealous and angry as he noticed the tension between them from afar.
He approached them cracking his throat. "Oh Ethan!" Alisha said in excitement to see him make the ceremony.
Ethan kissed Alisha right in front of Kelvin, letting him know that she had been taken.
Ethan properly arranged his tuxedo tie after the wet kiss he gave to Alisha, looking at Kelvin mischievously. Alisha had to introduce them. "Ethan, meet Kel..." Ethan interrupted her saying, "Kelvin Daniel, hu?" He sounded irritated, clearly referring to Kelvin.
Alisha wasn't too surprised that Ethan knew about Kelvin.
Then, as Alisha was introducing Kelvin to Ethan, saying "Kelvin meet Ethan", he interfered again, adding "her lover and betrothed." He sounded so jealous and angry, Kelvin felt really uncomfortable.
Ethan held Alisha on her waist, but felt like Kelvin will take her away.
"Kelvin Daniel, since you now know about our relationship, mind stopping your vamp tricks here? I mean the flirting and trying to be cool around my girl". He proclaimed with more anger, raising his tone at Kelvin.
Alisha tried to calm Ethan down, explaining that Kelvin was just a friend. Kelvin also apologized and tried to diffuse the situation. However, Ethan was still annoyed and ended up taking Alisha away from Kelvin.
"Am sorry Kelvin, so sorry. See you inside." Alisha whispered to Kelvin as Ethan took her back inside the ceremony hall.
Kelvin watched them go with a heavy heart, knowing that he had unintentionally caused a rift between Alisha and Ethan. How ever he didn't had a mental note to keep his distance from her in the future.
As Ethan and Alisha made their way back into the hall, the air around them was thick with tension. Alisha was still seething from the Kelvin fiasco, and Ethan was plagued with remorse for his irrational behavior.
"I'm sorry, Alisha," Ethan's voice was laced with regret. "I shouldn't have acted like that. I trust you, but I just don't think Kelvin is the best influence for you."
Alisha's response was measured. "It's fine, Ethan," she said, attempting to sound indifferent. "I understand why you were feeling insecure. But Kelvin is not a bad person. He didn't mean any harm."
Ethan bristled at her words. "Are you sure about that?" he asked defensively. "I don't want to lose you, Alisha. You mean the world to me."
Alisha's expression softened, and she reached out to take Ethan's hand. "I know, Ethan. And I'm not going anywhere. But please, trust me on this. Kelvin is a good guy."
Alisha's heart swelled with love at Ethan's words, and a smile danced across her lips. "You don't have to worry about losing me, Ethan. I love you too much to ever let that happen."
The space between them shrank, and their gaze remained locked. It was as if time stood still and they were the only two people in the world.
Breaking the silence, Ethan spoke with sincerity. "I am truly sorry, Alisha. I promise to trust you and be more understanding in the future."
Alisha's smile grew wider, and she replied with a hint of laughter in her voice. "I know you will, Ethan. We'll work through this together, okay?"
Ethan leaned in for a kiss, and Alisha wrapped her arms around his neck, feeling his warmth enveloping her. Their love was palpable.
Alisha couldn't help but confess her guilt, "I feel terrible for making you think I was flirting with Kelvin. I would never do that to you."
Ethan's concern was still evident, and he voiced his dislike for the Daniels. "I don't trust the Daniels, Alisha. I don't like them one bit."
He especially didn't like that she was flirting with Kelvin. But Alisha defended herself, saying, "Kelvin and I are friends, despite everyone else's negative opinions about the Daniels."
Although Alisha seemed pretty calm, there was a bit of anger and seriousness in her voice.
"Since when did you guys become friends?" Ethan asked with a hint of anger in his voice.
Being a werewolf, Ethan was easily provoked and quick to get riled up. His smile faded away as soon as Alisha called Kelvin her friend.
Ethan went on to warn Alisha about Kelvin, reminding her that he's an ancient vampire with a lot of blood stains on his path. He didn't want Alisha to let her guard down just because she had a few conversations with him.
Alisha didn't know how to calm Ethan down, especially since he was already causing a scene at the party. People were starting to stare as Ethan's voice grew louder. She tried to reassure him that everything was okay, but it seemed like Ethan was beyond reasoning at this point.
"Can you let it go? I promise I'll think about what you said!" Alisha said with a polite smile.
Ethan's temper seemed to calm down as he heard her words. "Hey, do you mind saving me a dance?" he asked, trying to lighten the mood.
Alisha agreed, even though she was already exhausted from dancing with Kelvin earlier. She didn't want to break Ethan's heart, he asked her smiling after all.
As they hit the dance floor, Ethan and Alisha were absolutely killing it with their moves. They had practiced a lot together, and everyone's attention was directed towards them.
