Maxwell gestured to the chair and said, "Please sit." He pulled the chair out for Melissa like a gentleman, and said, "Be comfortable, ok?" He then sat opposite her.
"Thank you, Sir," Melissa said, flashing a half smile. "We will wait for Mellisa, Linda, and Michelle right?"
"They must be on their way right now," Maxwell said. "We can order if you are hungry."
"No, we can wait for them," Melissa replied. "I don't mind."
Maxwell then said, "Melissa, I wanted to say sorry for venting my anger on you the other day. I never shared my feelings about Tina with anyone, I was hurt that day that's why I said all these things and I'm sorry."
"No, there's a need to say sorry," Melissa said. "I was the one at fault. I shouldn't have judged you without knowing the truth about you…I'm really sorry for that."
"I guess both of us were wrong," Maxwell said.
