Back at the hospital, the mood was somber.
"I cannot for the life of me understand why you would work together with the Council's dog." Matthias said out loud looking at a loss for words.
"Dad, please listen, we had no choice but to trust him. He found out about my scent."
"I can't believe this. I can't believe I'm getting involved with werewolves once more." Matthias hung his head low and said defeatedly. He had to fake his own death to escape them once. He didn't know if he would be able to do so again. Now he had something more precious to protect. His children.
"Dad, don't we have to inform old man Hughes that our information has been compromised?" Aubrey suddenly asked, worriedly. But it seems that Matthias was one step ahead of her despite having been confined to the hospital for the past 2 and a half months.
"I've already done so. Hughes and his apprentices have left Ireland."
