'Yeah. Something is definitely up.'
Rhyland took a few tentative steps forward. There was a sliver of doubt in his beautiful amber eyes.
"What are you waiting for? Have a seat. Dinner's getting cold." The woman's sweet voice called out to him.
"Aubrey, what's all these?" Rhyland asked haltingly.
In front of him, Aubrey's smile faltered.
'Is it too much? Am I being too obvious?' Aubrey wondered. 'Well no matter, there's no turning back now.'
"I just…. I just wanted to… apologize." She said quietly.
"Apologize? For what?" The man asked, looking doubtful.
"For being stubborn and antagonistic…well maybe not antagonistic…but I was definitely being pushy and refusing to see your side of things." Aubrey explained in a rushed breath.
"Aubrey." Rhyland gently tilted up the woman's chin. "You don't need to apologize for anything. You're entitled to your own opinions."
