Days spent in bliss passed by in the blink of an eye. And soon it was time to return to Oxford.
As the head of the council, Rhyland had a mountain of work piled up for when he came back. Of course, it was not to say that Nikolai did not do his job well as interim head. He did. But it was simply that there was too much "clean up" that needed to be done.
Though Rhyland had won the seat of council lead fair and square, there are still many dissidents and nonbelievers. There are even those audacious enough who think that this is their opportunity to shine. If a youngin was able to defeat Rhal, then that man must have not been all that much to begin with. They were all eager to cause trouble for Rhyland.
However, thankfully there were still a lot of fervent supporters of the new council lead. They felt lost and were in dire need of guidance. They believed that the results of the battle were legitimate and welcomed the changes that Rhyland instituted.
