The vampire community was reeling from the loss of all their men back in York. It was the third loss in a row for Wentworth.
Miles J Wentworth did not usually lead failed missions so when he did, it became big news.
As such, he was in the hot seat.
The Order wanted an explanation why Wentworth had deployed the creature and why he had failed to recover their ace card, Emery. The creature was a failed experiment using chemical weaponry and faerie blood. On the other hand, the creature had been a wild card of sorts because it had been difficult to control. Despite numerous attempts made by the vampires at reconditioning, it only ever listened to Wentworth's orders. Still, the Order had been keen to keep the creature at their disposal. Though somewhat faulty, it was a good weapon nonetheless.
On the other hand, Wentworth himself was in shock.
