Régidal was fighting one of those wolf-like monsters, He was cutting it and using some magic flame against it to kill it as fast as possible. He didn't have the powers of Luzalé so it was more complicated for him to kill that beast. In the end he managed to do it by cutting open his belly before launching a ray of flame in it. The creature fell after letting out a scream.
Régidal took the time to breath, even after what seemed an whole hour, the monsters were still here. The guards and the soldiers were helping alot but it was almost not enough.
-Régidal !
The chief of the Stars of Aurora turned his toward the origin of the sound and saw his friend Diésir running in his direction.
-Régidal, what is happening ?
-I know as much as you. Monsters are roaming free in the city.
-Where is Luzalé ?
-She went on the other side of the city to help. She should be fine. Where is the lady ?
-Lady Laéla is hiding inside a garrison.
-Good, we can't afford to lose her.
-What do we do ? Asked Diésir, waiting for an order.
-We fight until the end. Replied simply Régidal.
-And what about the castle ?
-The others are with Belda, i trust them, they are strong enough to handle whatever may come against them.
-Right. Then let's end this conversation and do our duty. Added Diésir with a solemn voice.
-Varanita bless us. Said Régidal.
Then they rushed towards the enemies, full of determination and strenght.
Luzalé was still prisoner of the circle the Knights had made for her but she was calm now, she focused on breaking this seal. Three monsters were lurking around her, waiting for something to attack.
A white light was shining around the body of the magician, making the chains melt and erasing the seal slowly. Soon a white flame started to burn around her and a flower was growing under her body. Just a few more minutes.
Aesta, Léol and Belda were watching this dark figure coming out of the moon like chick breaking free from his egg. After a loud cracking noise, the moon broke and this thing fell from it to ground, or at least it should have fell. This dark creature descended from the moon by floating until it reached the ground, immediately a darkness surrounded it, creating a circle of void around the shadow with fire eyes.
-Belda. Said the shadow with a hoarse voice.
All three members of the Varapren had shivers, they all felt it was not something normal, even more Belda, trembling like a leaf in the wind.
The creature slowly and heavily stood up while rumbling about something.
-Grand is the scale of this world, it did not stop us from finding you, daughter of the sinners, princess of the stars, chosen one of the moon. May your light be drown in darkness to reborn as the sword of Dégral.
While speaking, the shadow had created a sword out of nothing and he seemed ready to fight under the broken full moon.
Aesta looked at Belda and touched the top of her head before saying.

But it did nothing. She tried again.

Once again, nothing, the girl was still here, confused about what her aunt was trying to do.
-That thing is keeping her here. Said Aesta to Léol.
-From what i understand, it wants Belda.
-That's what i understood too. We must not let it touch her.
-It won't. Replied Léol with a stern look.
The dark creature created from a black mist two swords, he took position and started to walk towards the Varapren. Léol and Aesta prepared their magic for the coming fight.
-Belda, you stay behind us, do not come near the fight, if this thing pass us, flee we will catch it before it can reach you. Okay ? Ordered Aesta.
-Yes, Aesta. Replied Belda with a unsure voice.
-We are here with you, nothing can happen to you because we will win. So just wait for us to put an end to this. We will soon wake up.
Belda nodded, still trembling a bit, Aesta smiled at her, in hope of calming and it work a bit.
After that she locked her eyes on her new enemy and prepared herself to fight until this thing was destroyed.
The shadow jumped high and far before plunging into them with its sword directed towards the magicians. They were ready to block and counter attack but they did not plan for the shadow to create a shockwave of dark energy, making them slide on the ground backwards. Still standing, they launched each an spell at the monster, a wind mix with fire spell from Léol and dark shining energy from Aesta, The shadow put its sword in the ground and made a barrier, protecting it long enough to see the magic spell disappear. Then after a few seconfs of heavy breathing, a dance of magic and sword started. The dark creature was attacking while Léol and Aesta were blocking and attacking at the same time. The shadow was faster than them a it had more strenght but they seemed to be able to managed it since they were two.
Léol was hit and he flew in the air, Aesta blocked the sword and hit the creature with her left hand by generating a ball of fire. The shadow was swept by the sheer force but it stood up quickly. Léol was now standing too, Aesta was still on the offense, she even created a sword for her and started swinging her blade with the shadow, mixing magic in it. She was moving faster by sliding on the ground with a grey almost silver energy. Léol flew high in the air before passing just above the creature to launched at it a rain of spiky and cutting glass, falling like dust too. The shadow saw it and before it could move away, Aesta immobilized it, the dark being looked down at his feet to see hands holding them, he was touched by the attack and let a groan came out. Aesta did not waste this opening and with her sword, sent a huge flaming wave at it. It pierced it making it almost lean back.
Suddenly, a huge amount of dark flame surounded the body of this being, it stood up and faster than before rushed towards Aesta while sending a dark light against Léol, in that second, it clashed with the sword of the lady, pushed her back, did a special move to remove the blade from its directions and hit her with a black flame.
Aesta flew backwards and fell on the ground. Immediately, the shadow focused on Léol, sent three black smoke to touch him then it looked at Aesta again, it ran towards her, ready to pierce her with the sword. Then Belda seeing the incoming horror, screamed out of fear.
-Aesta !
A flower came out of the ground and made the shadow go high in the air, then out of nowhere, three star shape lights hit it and dragged at him far from the lady. The stars crashed it violently on the ground and exploded in a small dustly light.
The creature was whining of displeasure, as if it was more annoyed than hurt but fortunately, the reality was different. The shadow was genuinely hurt but it was not screaming in pain, a strange dark liquid was running out of his wound and spreading on the ground where a small amount of water had appeared. Léol and Aesta realised this, they lowered their eyes to look at the small pond of water that was now covering the whole "Garden". Léol lifted his right shoe to see droplet of water fall.
-When did it appear ? He asked confused.
-It's probably because of Belda.
Aesta looked back at her the princess to see her crying, as silently as she could, she could not retain some sobs. Aesta and Léol went to see her, leaving the shadow to bled out.
-Hey, honey, don't cry, we are still here you see.
The soothing voice of Aesta was one of the few thing keeping Belda from being overwhelmed by fear. The little girl hugged the lady while Léol was gently touching the back of his little protégé.
-I don't want to be here, i want to go back to the real world !
-I know, we will.
Then Aesta put her hand on the chest of Belda and said.
-Grabel.
This time too, nothing happened, Aesta and Léol immediately turned their face to stare at the shadow.
-Oh, sister, please...lend me your strenght, bring with you the dark flames of your wrath. Answer my call.
From the reflection of his face among the flowers, on th water, a new face appeared, this one was a shadow but with more feminine shape. The hand of the wounded shadow was now holding the hand of the new one and from the water it slowly emerged. This new creature raised from the ground like she was coming out ot a mirror, once it was standing, it made a spear out of the dark smoke and gave its hand to its brother.
-Stand up, brother, your fight is not done, you shall not perish until we conquered the heart of the blessed one.
-I shall not, sister.
He grabed her hand and was now back on its feet, healed and ready to fight again.
-Léol, can we win ?
-Yes, we can. We are the Stars of Aurora, protector of our little Belda, we can't lose to those thing. Even if we die, we must fight. Said Léol with a solemn and determined voice and expression.
-Then, i will fight with you until we win. Added Aesta, with a calm but firm voice.
They generated magic mist around their hands, sword in hand too, ready to fight.
