The Aeonian Empire; an Empire that is filled with magic and riches, was founded by a human. A God by the name of Aeonian - The Ruler of Everlasting - chose this human as his descendant, forming him as the very First Emperor of that country.
God Aeonian had five mythological creatures obeying his orders and gave these creatures to his descendant. These creatures would become the First Emperor's Five Disciples; they would be under his complete command. All five creatures were bestowed names by the Emperor.
The first disciple was a Black-hell-fire Dragon; one of the most powerful creatures that came across folklore. This dragon was one of the few creatures that had extremely high magic. Its temper and destructive personality made itself feared amongst other species.
This creature had High Dark-Divine Mana - the rarest dark yet holy magic to exist. The Emperor bestowed this creature the name 'Malefic', which meant 'causing harm and destruction, especially by supernatural means.'
The second disciple was a Vampiric demon; a creature that possessed the ability to control the flow of blood inside any living creature. This creature was known for its mischievous and lustful behaviours, especially while blending in with humans. The Emperor decided to give it the name 'Astrid', which meant 'divinely beautiful and strong'.
The third disciple was a Winter-Luasks; a creature that was known for its ice abilities and cruel hunting of humans. It normally strayed away from warm areas and made the freezing mountains its territory. It was a very hostile and blood-thirsty creature. The Emperor bestowed it the name 'Brumous', which meant 'wintery, foggy, and sunless'.
The fourth disciple was a Siren; a creature that lured others into the ocean and devoured them as they drowned. This creature was the most cunning creature among the five creatures. It always seemed to attempt on hunting its prey when no one was looking. The Emperor bestowed it the name 'Venetus', meaning 'a deep blue or marine colour'.
The fifth and last disciple was a Fire Demon; known for its hot temper, barbaric fighting style, and sadistic personality. It was the most merciless creature the Emperor has ever met. It didn't have any sympathy or empathy for other creatures and only cared for itself. So, out of spite, the Emperor bestowed it the name 'Lychnis', meaning 'a type of rose that is fiery red or a gem of fiery colour.'
It came as no surprise that these five creatures were wary of each other, especially because of the bloody history between their species. However, they were intelligent enough to know that they shouldn't fight because of that, so, they did their best in cooperating with each other. For decades, the Aeonian Empire grew steadily and more powerful.
By the time the First Emperor was on his deathbed, he made an oath to God Aeonian and the Empire; 'No fool shall touch or think of forsaking my Five Disciples. If such fool does this, the entire Empire would be consumed in the pits of hell by the Demon King.' That was the last thing he said before he passed away.
His firstborn son, just at the age of twelve years old, became the Second Emperor of the Aeonian Empire's history. An internal war of politics burst under the nobles, thirsting and fighting for the chance of manipulating the young emperor for greed. However, blood and agony spilt when the Five Disciples slaughtered them from behind the scenes.
The Second Emperor was completely unaware of the internal political war occurring and only knew that the Five Disciples were keeping the Empire in order while starting their own families. By the Second Emperor's coronation, the Five Disciples were officially declared as 'The Five Branched of the Aeonian Empire', also known as 'The Five Aeonian Archduchies.'
There were many nobles that oppressed their rising status in society, however, they could do nothing but bite their tongues in fear. When the first descendants of each Archduchy were born, the Second Emperor held a banquet of celebration. Kingdoms from across the continent came to say their congratulations to the archduchies.
Alas, some were fools to think that they were going to ally with those five archduchies. They made it very clear to them through bloodshed that they had no interest in shaking hands with other kingdoms and empires when they massacred the Aeonian Empire's threats. For centuries, no one sane dared to lay the tip of their fingers on the five Archduchies.
