Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: The Rumormongering Young Girl

"A contradiction that can be said ushered in a new era for our great nation.

The royal family birthing a being of supreme strength, a superpower. He was the 42nd ruler of Aristrentle, with his feats and investment in researching superpowers, we have learned of ways to detect magic. The way- "

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

The teacher's enthusiastic lecture was interrupted by the obnoxious chime of the bell, signifying the end of class.

""Awww!"" The class expressed remorse for the story not having a conclusion.

The teacher chuckled upon their response. "That's is your attitude now, but that will change once we move to physical training."

"Well it seems that I have rambled long enough, I will have to give a more detailed explanation in another class. Before you are dismissed, you must remember you are

allowed to practice if granted multiple abilities, however while it is advantageous, they'll be drawbacks. As you are all from influential families, I am sure you are receiving sufficient guidance in what you practice. Now you may leave."

"" Yes professor!"" The class all together replied, starting to chat among each other as the professor left.

"So, were we? Oh yeah how come you keep on forgetting me!?" Kicking the chair in retaliation.

Edil felt a impact upon his chair, Almost knocking him over.

"Hey!?" Edil Reflexively yelled but his face slowly shifted from anger to bewilderment, feeling a hint of De ja vu.

"Oh, are you remembering now, f**k face?" Her constant swearing kept ramming into his head. Like an assassin creeping up on their prey, distorted memories kept surfacing but never making it as if someone or something didn't allow it.

*Sigh* "Figures. This stupid curse really is bulls**t."

"Curse?" He inquired, wondering if this is why his head kept on hurting.

"I thought they weren't real." He should know as he was an expert, being a witch and all.

"Yes curse, are you deaf? My great grandfather found a ruin in the forsaken lands. There he encountered a ghost when he was in the restroom."

"Restroom?" He questioned with a skeptical look, the disbelief overwriting the pain.

"Yes, that b**tch ended up cursing him and his descendants when he shoved her back down the toilet and proceeded to release his excrements, flushing right afterwards."

"Well, what you expect to happen!!! Christ all of you Sigmund's are mad." The words that slipped out of his mouth left him dumbfounded.

The headache that was killing him instantly evaporated and the memories that were struggling to surface appeared on top of the water.

"Aha! Now you remember, God this curse is so f**cking ann! -"

"I see nobodies are sitting with nobodies." Said Mirandai, haughtily cutting in the conversation.

"Why is little miss ringlets talking to us nobodies? Are you going to ask for money?"

"How dare you imply that my fami-"

"Didn't your father rent out the estate to merchants needing a place to stay? I've heard your father has been on a spending spray for the new mistress he has picked up."

"You!!!!" The rich looking girl's face gradually became red. She spat and spattered, fuming from the accurate retelling of her family becoming penniless.

"I know who you are, you actually dare disgrace a family with the peerage of earl? With just being a baron?!"

"I'm surprised you know me, then you must know our family's specialty is, it is none your family is worth. And while your family has the backing of the Fray, we are the vassals of Rosalind."

"I will get you for this, and you better watch it you hikikomori. My soon to be fiancé will be back and they'll be pain to pay!" Defeated, she stormed away back to her seat.

"She wishes, with his prestige they'll only aim to marry up."

"You are surprisedly knowledgeable, this isn't something someone our age should know."

"Well, I needed to keep up with a certain genius."

"That's…..sor-" He stopped himself deciding apologizing was not the right thing to do.

"So, I'm guess you have been assigned to me?"

"Geez, I wondered how long it would be for you to figure it out, you hikikomori." She gave a bright smile.

. . . .

After school

Within the estate of Rosalind, Edil was able to walk through the halls unimpeded. A action he wished he didn't have to commit. However, to due to necessity, he must proceed on.

The reward that his father granted him had borne fruit. Just walking through the halls, he was able to notice the sheer difference. All the male servants in particular that use to give him reproachful and disapproving eyes are no more, replaced with smiles even if forced.

His wing of the estate was no longer in the care of the sole Lilith, but now of Marilyn's. A declaration she enthusiastically agreed to.

The garden that looked simply, now looked a multitude time more impressive. What used to be covered with simple fruits and vegetables was now filled with exotic assortments of plants, both edible and inedible. Something his maid greatly appreciated since she can experiment with various ingredients. Both wholesome and for less wholesome usages.

Surprisingly that was the only improvement.

Lilith while being his maid, cook, guard, chauffeur, and teacher. She still had the time to keep the place spotless, with no dust at all.

The servants were only allowed a limited time to care for his wing and for the rest of the day, they must stay in Marilyn's section of the estate. The hall where he was currently walking through.

Now that he was under the care of his stepmother, the others couldn't reprimand him any longer. Such as the incident in orientation, he may have been punished for openly using his abilities rather than praised for what he has done.

With Marilyn as support now, others couldn't easily suppress him any longer. Unless they face the richest duchess in Dragonswine region.

And now he must ask a favor from the woman as she was his caretaker.
