The guard stationed in front of the pack house welcomed both Dave and Damien in, not bothering to confirm their disguise.
They were led to the main sitting room, where Lucas's mother was sitting, awaiting their presence. The smile on her face irked Damien so much that Dave noticed it.
"Oh please, we need our men in here first." Cautioning him, Dave warned and Damien was finally able to produce a smile.
Dave inwardly sighed in relief and faked a smile too, something that was so easy for him to do thanks to his former womanizing nature.
"Welcome to our abode, Alpha Nureo. Please have your seat," welcoming them, Lucas's mother said and gestured for them to take their seats.
Once seated, Damien responded, "Pleasure is all mine, Vanessa. What of Alpha Lucas?" Inquiring, like he didn't just leave him behind.
