"I didn't want to intrude," he lied, facing away as if ready to leave unless Dave spoke.
"You have already interrupted my breakfast, isn't it too late for that?" Dave questioned, sitting up.
Sighing, Louis turned towards him and took a seat, absentmindedly playing with his fingers.
After a moment of silence, he began, "I apologize for being rude. It wasn't my intention," expressing regret for the dining room incident.
"Are you genuinely sorry?" Dave smirked, breaking into laughter, leaving Louis perplexed. Despite his apology, Dave didn't seem to take him seriously.
"How else should I apologize?" Louis asked, confused.
"I never said anything about that," Dave replied, gazing at the stars.
"What do you want, then?" Louis inquired.
Dave just smiled and changed the subject, asking, "Do you drink alcohol?"
"No, it tastes bitter. I don't like it," Louis answered, scrunching his face in distaste.
