"You heard me. Why did you attempt to harm me if you had no fear of me exposing your theft?" Sarah restated her accusatory question, provoking an annoyed glare from Aurora.
"Are you not overdoing this?" Aurora questioned, her patience wearing thin.
"Leave it to me, Luna," a calm voice chimed in from behind Sarah. His presence instilled an unsettling fear in Aurora, as he didn't seem to be here to challenge Sarah's questionable investigation but rather appeared to be on Sarah's side.
"Elder Timotei, I am grateful you are here. Perhaps you can help persuade her to come clean. I genuinely feel sorry for her," Sarah's voice took a sudden emotional turn, with tears streaming down her cheeks. Aurora had never encountered such a cunning woman as Sarah. One moment, she was a fierce beast, and now, she resembled a vulnerable child.
