Aurora's heart swelled with happiness as she laid eyes on Damien. He had arrived just in time.
"Still holding onto the past?" the man smirked at Damien, surprising Aurora with their familiarity. Damien had friends? But their interaction seemed filled with animosity.
If they knew each other, how come Rome was asking her if she was Damien's sister? Was he playing hard to get so he could extract information from her? She suddenly felt disgusted by him and could not wait to leave his presence.
"What past could I possibly have with a stranger?" Aurora widened her eyes at Damien's retort, realizing she was the key to escape this situation.
Feigning a headache, she placed her hands on her forehead and began to agonize, "Oh no, I think I am about to faint. My head is throbbing!" She let out a scream and leaned on Damien for support.
