Five days later…
"Should we be concerned about Alpha Lucas's sudden silence or has he finally learned his lesson?" Dave relayed while they sat with the elders, Damien and Enoch in the study room.
Shockingly, Lucas never reformed his men to attack them again and it had been five days since there was no news from his troop. They managed to send spies but the spies barely came back alive, and the only one who successfully secured information for them had his tongue cut off.
It was like they were purposely not launching an attack and waiting for something to happen.
"Shouldn't we work more on finding why? I mean, who suddenly changes their mind when they barely even got what they wanted?" One of the Elders suggested, reminding them of the fact that Lucas had not gotten what he started the war for.
