As dinner approached, Damien requested that his food be brought to his room, stating that he would not be dining with the rest of the people. Aurora reluctantly accepted her unfortunate fate, realizing that as long as the Alpha was in the mansion, she would always have to encounter him, even when she didn't want to.
She now regretted her promotion to her current position, finding it more troublesome than she had anticipated.
"Come in," she heard him say before entering his room. It had been over five years since she had last been in his room, and it appeared more beautiful than she remembered. Of course, she had only spent one night there, so she hadn't had the chance to appreciate its beauty.
