I stopped breathing when I saw Ali tied to a chair, blood flowing from his mouth, and wounds all over his body. Edward let go of my hand i shouted. I tried to get out of Edward's grip. Tears started flowing from my eyes. "Edward, please," I begged. "Please, Edward."
He let go of me. I immediately ran toward Ali and untied him. I came in front of him and started caressing his wounded face, tears continuously flowing from my eyes. It's all because of me that Ali got hurt.
When I saw Edward's face, my anger, which had been simmering inside me, burst out like a volcano. I looked at Edward and said in a deep and angry voice, "What are these, Edward? Are you human? Why did you beat him? What did he do wrong to you? Don't you feel any shame?"
But he said in a very calm voice, "Those who dare to look at you will get this ending, and you should be thankful I didn't kill him. I wanted to kill him because he hugged you, but I didn't do it, and now you are blaming me."
He shouted, "Guards, kill him!"
"What? No, no, please don't!"
The guards were going toward Ali. "Edward, please, I will do anything you want. Just don't hurt him more. He is already on the verge of death. Please don't kill him. Edward, please, I am begging you."
Ali held my hand and asked in a shaking voice, "Why did you marry him, Neha? Why? You love me, so why, Neha?"
"Ali, don't misunderstand. I didn't want to marry him. He threatened me and forced me into this marriage. I wanted to tell you, but I couldn't gather the courage that day. I thought I would tell you another time when we met again, but if I had only told you about my marriage that day, you wouldn't be in this condition. I am sorry, Ali, it's because of me."
"Shhh, stop crying. It's not your fault; it's this bastard's fault."
"Ali, please keep quiet. I don't want you to get hurt."
I then looked toward Edward and asked him, "What do you want? I will do anything. Just let Ali go."
He said in a calm voice, "Stand up."
I stood up immediately, and then he came closer to me and handed me a file. "What are these?" I asked as I opened it.
"It's a contract."
"What contract?"
He said, "In this contract, it is written that you will never leave me. If you ever try to leave me, first Ali will die immediately, and after him, all the people you love will die too."
"Edward, you are cruel. You know I can't say no." I started crying.
"Okay, okay, Edward, but I also have one condition."
"What?"
"Write my condition in it too: if you ever have sex with other women, marry other women, or even engage with other women, in that case, I can leave you immediately, and you have to give me a divorce even if we have a child. If you accept it, then I will sign it right away."
"Okay, honey, I only love you. I can't even think about any other woman, let alone engage or marry them, in this life or the next. No matter how many lives you have, your soulmate will only be me, and my soulmate will always be you."
He added these conditions to the contract too. "I also want one copy."
"Okay, I will give you one."
