Camille suddenly shot to the surface with her telekinetic power. Seeing Camille's impulsive actions, Elijah quickly grabbed the bodies of Lucas and Bernice. Meanwhile, the ants advanced fast and closed in on them.
Jacob grabbed Carol and Connor's arms and tried to lift them.

The sound of an ant's sting hit Jacob's leg. Another ant plunged its sharp tip into the wound. Jacob's body dragged, and he could only groan in pain. Jacob's hands opened; he threw Carol and Connor back to the surface.
Carol and Connor rolled on the ground, and ants emerged from the tunnel and attacked. Lucas immediately created a defensive wall, aided by Bernice, who threw the ants away from them.
"No! Jacob!!" Carol cried reluctantly.
"In the middle! Quick, gather!" Elijah shouted.
