Deep within a secluded forest, nestled among the towering trees, stood Kiori Orphanage. It was a place of secrets and shadows, where the dreams of the young were shattered by the twisted intentions of those who claimed to care. Three people took care of this desolate sanctuary: Dr. Yun, Dr. Iori, and Dr. Sebastian. Today new children were arriving at the orphanage from another orphanage.
Dr. Yun, a charismatic yet cold-hearted individual, saw the orphanage as nothing more than an experiment. Driven by a mysterious motive, he had opened this orphanage with backing of powerful people of the kingdom.
"Are the preparations done for the kids to arrive?" Dr.Yun asked his collogues.
Dr. Iori was an extraordinary individual, radiating an aura of grace and wisdom. With her compassionate eyes and gentle smile, she possessed a natural ability to uplift and inspire those around her. As the wife of Dr. Yun, she helped him in his ambitions.
"The rooms for living have been taken care of, and Seb is in charge of the food supplies." Dr.Iori replied calmly, still looking a bit excited waiting for the kids to arrive.
Dr. Sebastian was an enigmatic figure, shrouded in mystery and possessing a sharp intellect. With his piercing gaze and an air of quiet confidence, he commanded attention and respect wherever he went. Though initially perceived as stern and aloof, he is quite the opposite, observant and domineering.
"The food and other supplies have been taken care of, all that is left is for the kids to arrive here, they should be here any minute now." Dr. Sebastian said looking at his watch.
Dr. Yun was looking at the gate of the orphanage when the gats opened and a carriage came into site, with the name star orphanage written on it.
As the kids exited the carriage they were met with the kind smile of Dr. Iori, and perceptive gaze of Dr. Yun.
"Hi kids, I am Dr. Iori, this is Dr. Yun, and this gentleman with the blank expression is Dr. Sebastian, and we will be your new guardians and this will be your new home." Dr. Iori said squating down to meet the eyes of the kids.
"Hello, Ms. Iori" all Kids said unanimously.
After this Iori started to take the kids inside, when Dr. Yun went to talk to the caretaker of the previous orphanage.
"Are these all the kids" Dr. Yun asked the caretaker.
"All 30 of them" The care taker said.
"No no, I counted, there were 31 of those little rascals" Sebastian said looking at the ground hand on the beard and a with a tensive forehead.
"Oh maybe I counted wrong" the care taker said.
"No, the arrangements were for 30 kids only, you need to take one back." Dr. Yun said looking at the care taker.
"I won't, these are the kids the minister sent over, if I take him back, what will happen of me." The care taker said looking scared.
"We can take care of one more kid, there is no problem, right, Honey." Dr. Iori said coming from the orphanage.
"Hmmmm.... fine, if you want, this orphanage was your brain child after all." Dr. Yun said looking at her.
"I will get the kids settled in their rooms, then, tomorrow, they can all come to the ground for orientation" Dr. Sebastian said.
"Fine." DR. Yun said looking nervous.
"Relax Yun, they are just a bunch of kids, they won't boo you off the stage." Dr. Iori said smiling.
"They are kids for you, for me they are hellions." Dr. Yun said as he shrugging her of.
"Whatever, just get ready for tomorrow, I will go and meet the kids in the lunch room." Iori said and left.
After Iori left Yun went to the gates of the orphanage and looked at the stream that flowed in front of orphanage and got lost in thoughts of past, as he watched the stream the day changed into evening.
"You know even the stream moves forward, we are still measly humans, we should move forward as well." Iori said dragging Dr. Yun into the large building.
"You know I think we should have made the orphanage in the city." Sebastian said coming from behind.
"Why is that Seb?" Iori asked.
"Well so that we don't loose Yun in the forest." Seb said playfully.
"Shut up. You half empty beer can." Yun said making fun of his drinking problem and personality.
The next day all the kids started gathering in the play ground, these kids were supposed to be from same orphanage but actually were handpicked by nobles backing the orphanage ran by the three scientists. So instead of every child knowing each other all of them were clueless, as to who was who, and what was going on.
"Ahem, ahem, hmm, hello kids, if you would all look here", Yun said coming on the stage and all of the lost eyes directed in Dr. Yuns direction, " I am sure you are worried about where you are, and who are these new people around you, well you are selected from your orphanages to learn the art that is magic." the children looked lost at hearing the word, that is when iori signaled to him to just show them some magic. " Oh, I am sure you know of magic, huh kids." Yun asked them.
"No" all of them said in unison.
"Well want me to show you?" Yun asked.
"Yes" Everybody said looking at him, then Yun moved his hand forward and ignited a fire in his hand, and threw it at the tree.
"Wow...." every one of the kids wowed at the sight of fire ball traveling to tree.
"You will be learning that here" yun said.
A kid raised his small chubby hand to ask a question.
"Yes, what is the problem child." Yun asked him.
"Will we become heroes if we learn this magic, sir" the kid asked with gleaming eyes, at this yun looked at Iori who was just as clueless.
"Ummmm, yes, of course you will, and also you will have money, and everyone will respect oyu" Yun said, knowing it was a lie.
"Yayyyy." everybody shouted after Yun said those words.
Yun looked at Iori as if disappointed by the words he had just said to kid.
"Okay everyone, head back to cafeteria, after breakfast we will have introductions." Iori said
"But we are to be given names on the first day we enter the orphanage." some of the kids said from the crowd.
"Okay then head in, we will figure out your names" Iori said sending the kids into the orphanage.
