"You Bob?" David asked as he looks at the wall of liquor.
"Me?" The ginger let out a small laugh. "No, that's the owner."
"I see... I'll take a whiskey."
"Righty-O."
David turns away and leaned back on the counter, looking at the ceiling. He stared into space until...
THUD
A thud occurs beside him. Turning to the source, he sees a man now standing there. He eyed him before looking back at the ceiling.
"You new?" The man asked, his voice rough and dry. He wore all black and had two Single Action Armies on his side.
"Huh? Oh yeah."
"Well, I just want to welcome you to the Crossing. Hey Jim, the drink's on me."
"O-oh, really." Jim squeak out.
"Yeah. Put it on my tab."
"Gray…" Jim trailed off as the mood becomes more uneasy.
"Put it in my tab," Gray said threatening.
"Heh heh. Now how are you going to buy me a drink with no money." David injects as he chuckles.
The room grew silent as no one spoke.
"Heh heh, you're right. Um, what was your name?"
"You can call me, Kid," David announced.
"Kid, hmm. Don't tell me you're reverring to be one of those outlaws. They're a bad, bad crowd to mingle with." Gray said.
Laughter erupts and David looks at the two people Gray was sitting with earlier.
Gray brings out a quarter. "Here y'all go Jim."
"Thanks," Jim said timidly as he quickly scoops it up.
"Well?" Gray asked as he moves closer to David.
"And what is it to you, Mister…?"
"Morgan. Gray Morgan."
"Mister Morgan. Why are you interested."
"I'm only looking out for you, "Kid"" Gray said, emphasizing the kid.
"Here y-you go, Kid. Your whiskey." Jim interject as he places a bottle on the counter.
"Thanks, Jim."
"No problem."
David pops open the bottle and takes a sip. After gulping it down, he looks back at Gray. "I don't know if I want to be a part of the big game yet. But I might just play my cards."
Gray laughs. "Well be careful. A lot of young men die in this Crossing."
"Hmm." David knowledged him before fully drinking his whiskey. "Hey, Jim. I need a horse. Where can I get one?"
"Um, there's a stable nearby. You could probably get a horse there for cheap." Jim informed him.
"Hmm," David muttered before lying an empty bottle on the counter. "Thanks for the information." He said to Jim.
"And thanks for the drink." He said to Gray. Gray watches David closely as he walks out of the Saloon.
Stepping out, David was briefly blinded by the sun. He stood there, bathing in the sun and stretching his limbs.
