Stumbling, Fenrir widened his stance so as not to be knocked over by the Warg as he screamed a sound full of rage and anger. Reaching over with his other hand, Fenrir flooded his body with mana as he grabbed the monster by the scruff of its mangy fur, hauled it off of him, and slammed it to the ground.
Not caring as a deadly amount of blood erupted from his wound, Fenrir grinned as the Warg whelped in pain as it slammed into the stone. With the same hand that had ripped the Warg off him, Fenrir started to wrap the chain of Kanabo around the beast's neck, not flinching as the monster began to scratch at him with its claws.
With his other hand hanging limply down at his side, Fenrir stamped down on the other end of the chain with his bare foot and hauled back with his body and good arm in the other direction.
The beast's cries of pain turned into strangled gurgles as it struggled to breathe. Roaring again, Fenrir yanked on the chain, and a sharp crack echoed through the cave as the Warg's neck snapped like a twig, and it went limp.
Panting, Fenrir let his arm drop as he tried to catch his breath, but before he could fully relax, a guttural voice chanting made Fenrir's head shoot up. The Wargmaster was waving his staff through the air, ready to cast, its bloodied face a mask of sick glee as it saw Fenrir bloodied and bleeding.
Fenrir felt his mind go blank in that split moment as an unstoppable tide of rage washed through his body. Reaching into his flagging mana reserves, Fenrir barred his teeth as a force wave of mana pulsed out from his body, sending dust and small stones flying through the air away from Fenrir.
As the wave passed over the Goblin, Fenrir watched as its beady eyes went wide in fear, and its guttural chanting abruptly stopped. But the monster had already invested a substantial amount of mana into the spell, and now, with its concentration broken, the spell fell apart, and the mana exploded.
The earth around the Goblin exploded as numerous stone spikes erupted from the ground, piercing the Goblin's body and spraying black ichor everywhere.
Letting his body relax, Fenrir staggered as he collapsed to one knee slick with blood and muscles aching. Then, a heat rose from Fenrir's focus as a series of windows blocked his view.

Closing the windows, Fenrir groaned as his vision swam from blood loss. A bone-piercing chill invaded his body. Opening up his inventory, Fenrir pulled out a small glass vile filled with a bright red liquid.
Taking out the cork with his teeth, Fenrir chugged the potion, and a wave of relief passed through him as the concoction took effect. There was a strange tingling sensation that surrounded Fenrir's shoulder as his wound healed and dried blood flaked off of him.
Standing up after a minute, Fenrir rolled his shoulders and returned his Kanabo to his inventory, 'That was a lot harder than before.'
After discovering his new ability [Mana Enhancment], Fenrir dove back into Goblin's Grotto, expecting to steamroll everything in his bath. But something had changed in the Domain. During the orientation, the largest goblin part he encountered was five strong and solely composed of scouts.
'I guess this is why people usually go in teams.'
Fenrir stared at the tunnel that curved to the right, leading further into the Domain. For a split second, Fenrir entertained the idea of leaving, but only for a moment before he strode forward and delved further into the Domain.

Freya gritted her teeth as she stared intensely at the mana bolt hovering in her hand. This was her twentieth attempt at trying to multi-cast the spell. She was taking the introductory magic course that promised to teach her the fundamentals of controlling her inner mana.
The first step was relatively easy, as the teacher, a young woman named Mila, instructed the group of twenty to visualize their mana pools. Once everyone completed the first step, they were then told to create a hole in their mana pool, allowing their mana to spill out into the surroundings.
There was still a faint blue fog in the air from the highly concentrated mana present in the air, which accelerated how quickly Freya's mana pool refiled, which was good because the next step was to quick cast mana bolt.
More than once, Freya had felt her mana churn inside her but ultimately failed to complete the spell. It also took a significant amount more to cast without the verbal incantation, leaving Freya feeling light-headed in between attempts.
But her persistence paid off, and Freya moved on to the final step before anyone else in her class. Freya's pride had soared before it quickly hit rock bottom as she seemed to hit the limit of her innate talent.
"Come on, you stupid spell, just give in," Freya cursed under her breath as she pushed more mana into the spell, which disappeared like a rock into a bottomless pit. The mana bolt then flickered before bursting into a blue mist that was cool on Freya's palm.
"Having some trouble?"
