Chapter 48
(Story from the past, Pt 12)
Jake the Survivor Pov:
"How can you possibly be my uncle!," Law yelled as he could not believe, that I, someone he rebuked, was his uncle. I laughed at that due to the look on his face, it was priceless.
"Come on, we got training to do, and you are causing a commotion," I said getting up. I put on my gear and head out with the furious Law following me. He had on his Armor, it was made of Iron, it had a Chest-piece, Legs, belly, crotch, Pauldrons, Wrist guards, and a helmet on his left waist attached to his belt. He also had a sword on his right and a longsword on his back.
We left after saying goodbye and headed to the docks. I was planning on going around the continents again, but this time with Law, during that time he would train. "So what are we doing old man?," He asked me, damn that Hurt.
"We are going on a trip, to adventure around the continents, while you train. I plan on building a school in a area I saw a few decades ago. It seemed like the perfect place for a school," I told him as we arrived at the port. The port was right next door to Pacific and Boatem.
"Ok, so I guess I will be training in fighting while we are?," He asks as I get the location of my ship.
"A little, we will also be training you in other aspects. You don't have the greatest attitude, so that needs as adjustment. There are also some other things as well," I told him.
We head through the port until we arrive at the section my ship is located. The dock master had told me they were doing some repairs as it had been damaged by accident. "This is the finest ship I have ever seen!," Someone says.
I look to see some workers looking at the ship I built over the last year. "You like her?," I ask with my arms crossed over my beard and chest. The look to see me and are surprised.
"Yeah, when did you ever build her?," The man asks curious. I had designed the ship off a Vikings which had a pretty strong build.
"I built her over the last year," I tell them as me and Law walk up. Law is a bit surprised at hearing this as that doesn't seem possible. Looking closer I see that the one is a dwarf, bald, and the other a Elf, green hair to the waist.
"You built, her, last year! How many people did it take to build?," The dwarf asks oblivious. At that Law snickers a bit.
"Just me, I had heard this place had changed since I was last here. I figured I would build my own since I gave away my last," I tell them to their surprise. Then they laugh thinking it is impossible and a joke.
"Well, good on you, it's a mighty fine ship. We were sent to repair it, so we will get on it now," The elf says. I look at my ship and see no problems with it, I would notice if there were. This might be a good test for Law now that I think about it.
"Then I will leave you to it. Law come with me," I say going to the next dock.
"What is it now Jake?," He complains for some reason.
"Those people are suspicious, so I want you to watch them from this dock. If you see them untie the ship, or take stuff that is valuable onto it, or off, stop them. But do not jump to conclusions, even if they start to destroy it. This will be your first test. I will be at the guild, I need to check on somethings, can you do that?," I ask him.
"Yeah yeah, go do what you need to Jake. I will watch it, and I will prove myself!," He says with a smile on his face.
"Ok, take care then!," I say heading back into town. It takes me around fifteen minutes to get to the guild from the dock. I enter go to the receptionist.
"How may I help you today?," The receptionist, a cat lady with blonde hair and green eyes asks.
"Are there any bounties on a bald Dwarf accompanied by a elf with green hair about my length?," I ask. The second she hears is she looks horrified.
"They are the most wanted people in town. They are known for stealing ships everyday without being caught. How did you find them?," She asks me.
"They are in the process of getting my ship repaired. That is most likely how the ships are getting stolen. My apprentice is currently watching them, can I have the quest for it?," I ask.
"Yes, may I see your guild card so I can put it down?," She asks so I take it out. The second she sees it she asks me, "When did you register? There are no A-ranks in town."
"I registered and tested earlier today. I need to get going so if you can hurry up?," I ask which she does. Once she is done I leave and look around. It is almost nighttime I should get back to Law now. I get back to see Law at the end of the dock looking at a ship sailing away.
"They stole it, right?," I ask to which he turns around. The second he sees me he gets on his knees and asks for an apology. "It's alright, I am sure you did your best, right now lets chase them down. I have the request for their bounties!," I tell him to which he gets up.
