Pedro sat in his office, his eyes fixed on the laptop in front of him. What was he staring so keenly at? Nothing. Why had he opened the laptop in the first place? He couldn't remember anymore. His mind was totally blank yet his eyes were so busy staring at his laptop.
"Sir, for over an hour now, you have been sitting in that same position staring at the screen. Don't you think you are hurting your eyes?" His assistant spoke.
Pedro looked up and met his gaze then sighed.
"This should be another happy day in your life boss. Your daughter will be getting married, yet you're looking sad. I know it's always sad to see your children live on their own, but that is life. There's time for growth, and when that time comes, it is inevitable and we all have to accept it."
Again Pedro took a glance at his Assistant and suddenly his countenance changed from that of a sad father to an agitated father.
"Growth I hear you say. What growth do I see in Joseline?"
