Adela's Point of View
As we descended from the ferris wheel, I sensed my phone buzzing, so I grabbed it promptly to identify the caller.
It was Demeter. I pondered the reason. I swiftly responded to the call upon spotting his name.
"Hello, Demeter?" I inquired immediately.
"Oh, Miss Adela, where are you? Haven't you departed yet?" she questioned with a worried tone, causing me to cast a quick glance at Primo.
"Are we heading home now?" I inquired of Primo, shifting my phone slightly away from our vicinity.
"Yeah, but perhaps it's wise to grab a bite first," he proposed, and I nodded in agreement.
"We're homeward bound, Demeter, just grabbing dinner," I replied, poised to terminate the call when Demeter imparted further instructions.
"Miss Adela, kindly expedite," she urged, prompting me to blink with a sense of urgency.
Who had issued him these directives?
"Who mandated this?" I queried, my anxiety subtly palpable.
