Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Unexpected Encounters

The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow over the bustling metropolis. Today was her birthday, a day she had been eagerly waiting for, hoping for something extraordinary to happen.

Her eyes were fixated on the display window of a chic boutique, where a stunning dress caught her attention. Its delicate fabric and intricate details made it seem like a garment from a fairy tale. Selly's heart skipped a beat as she imagined herself twirling in that dress, feeling like a princess. But reality set in, reminding her that her family was not well-off, and such luxuries were out of reach.

Just as she reluctantly tore her gaze away from the dress, a familiar voice called out, "Kim Selly!" It was her mother, calling her from a few steps away. Selly turned to see her mother smiling, her eyes filled with love and warmth. Today was a special day, and her mother had planned something extraordinary for her.

But fate had its own plans, and tragedy struck the family. Selly's mother fell severely ill, and despite their best efforts, she passed away after six agonizing months. Selly was left all alone in the world, her heart shattered and her dreams fading away.

With no one else to turn to, she was sent to live with her uncle. Though her uncle was a kind-hearted man, he was often away on business, leaving her at the mercy of her aunt and her spoiled cousins. Selly's new family treated her like an unwanted burden, forcing her to endure their cruelty. The once joyful child now had to navigate a world filled with darkness and neglect.

Years went by, and Selly found solace in her own resilience. Despite the hardships, she was determined to survive. Education became a distant dream, and she took up odd jobs to support herself. One such job was at a local pizza store, where she worked tirelessly to make ends meet.

It was on an ordinary day, while she was lost in her own thoughts, that fate decided to intervene once again. Riding her bike through the busy streets, her mind wandered to her latest crush, a character from her favorite manhua. Lost in her daydreams, she accidentally collided with a car, shattering its rear-view mirror.

A tall, striking figure emerged from the car, his expression a mixture of anger and surprise. With slicked-back hair and an intimidating demeanor, he exuded an aura of danger. Selly's heart raced as she observed the muscles rippling through his arms, and for a moment, she forgot about the accident.

Anger flashed across his face as he took in the damage Selly had caused. "What the hell? Look what you've done! Do you have any idea how much that mirror costs? More than your entire existence, I'm sure!" he bellowed, pointing an accusing finger at her.

Selly's frustration boiled over. She had grown tired of encountering rich individuals who thought they were superior to others. "You rich bastards are always like this! Arrogant, cruel, and stupid!" she retorted, her voice filled with righteous indignation

The boy's phone rang, interrupting their heated exchange. He hurriedly answered the call, his attention diverted from the confrontation. "I'm forgiving you, but get out of my sight and never cross paths with me again!" he spat, his voice dripping with disdain.

Unwilling to back down, Selly scowled and defiantly raised her middle finger, a small act of rebellion before she turned and stormed away. Thoughts of the encounter and the infuriating rich boy plagued her mind as she returned home and collapsed into an exhausted sleep.

In the realm of dreams, memories intermingled with imagination. Selly found herself reliving the argument, her anger fueling the intensity of the encounter. She woke up with a start, her heart pounding in her chest. "I won't forget that rich bastard," she vowed, determined to make her mark in the world.

Days turned into weeks, and life went on as usual. Selly continued her routine, delivering pizzas to earn her meager wages. One day, she received a delivery order that led her to an unfamiliar part of town, an isolated area resembling a dense forest.

As she pedaled through the dimly lit streets, a sense of unease crept over her. But Selly refused to succumb to fear. She was Kim Selly, and she feared no one. The path led her to a towering penthouse, where sounds of revelry echoed through the night.

Summoning her courage, she called out, "Bruce's order is here!" Her voice quivered slightly, betraying her nervousness. To her surprise, the same arrogant boy, now shirtless, appeared before her. His voice, as cold as ice, responded with annoyance, "Here."

Selly couldn't help but be struck by his appearance. He was older than her, in his late teens, with a scar adorning his abdominal area. His developed physique exuded strength and dominance. It was as if he had stepped out of her dreams and into reality.

"Fucking god, not you again," he muttered, a mixture of irritation and curiosity in his eyes. Selly's fear intensified as she faced this intimidating figure once more. However, her determination wouldn't allow her to retreat. With a trembling voice, she retorted, "Take this order and go away! Since you seem to work out so much, why don't you try exercising that empty brain of yours too?"

The room fell into stunned silence as everyone turned to witness this unexpected confrontation. The boy's emotionless face contorted into a mask of anger, and he approached Selly with an unsettling calmness. "You little fuck," he said softly, his voice dripping with menace.

Selly braced herself for the worst, but instead, he surprised her. He motioned for some guys nearby to take the order, and then he walked closer to her, paying her an amount ten times what she was owed. "I don't want more than required. Take your stupid money and go away," Selly defiantly declared.

A slight smile played on the boy's lips as he chuckled, shaking his head. "You've got quite the guts, huh? Especially for someone who looks like a malnourished Chihuahua dog," he taunted, before turning away, his laughter lingering in the air.

Selly seethed with anger, her determination fueled by their encounters. "You motherfucker, just pray we don't meet again," she muttered under her breath, her hands gripping the handlebars of her bike tightly as she rode away, the memory of him etched into her mind.

As she pedaled through the city streets, her thoughts were consumed by the enigmatic boy, her heart filled with a mixture of anger, curiosity, and an indescribable attraction. Little did she know that their paths were destined to cross once more, intertwining their lives in a tale of unexpected romance, comedy, and thrilling encounters.
