Chapter 63 - Underground Bunker

ID 367434: Refund!

10000 and 10010, come out! Didn't you say that 10086 had no resources to purchase S-Alloy? Now almost all the S-Alloy has been acquired by 10086. What's going on?!

ID 464242: That's right! They messed up the prices we set.

ID 10000: Well, I didn't expect 10086 to have so many resources. He didn't make a move before, but it seems this person is very scheming. We've been played!

ID 10010: Yeah, who could have imagined! This time 10086's acquisition is even more aggressive than the first time. This guy is too rich!

ID 356735: Don't bullshit! Regardless of how abundant 10086's resources are, let's first calculate. You two were the ones who promised to unify the prices, and now we're in this situation. Who's to blame?!

ID 46453: Damn it! I didn't want to sell at such a cheap price in the first place. But I got squeezed to the back pages of the listings. If I wasn't in a hurry for resources, I would never have priced it so low. This is really unlucky!

ID 10086: 10000, thanks. I've already sent the agreed resources to you. Until next time.

ID 856897: Huh? What does that mean? 10000, can you explain to us what this is about?

ID 29845: You've really outdone yourself, 10000. Collaborating with 10086 to acquire S-Alloy at a low price!

ID 10000: Let me explain, everyone.

Waldo looked at the large amount of S-Alloy in his backpack, overjoyed. These were all acquired at a low price. He wondered what expression the sellers would have when they realized the importance of S-Alloy with the impending meteor shower.

At this point, Waldo had collected enough S-Alloy to support the construction of an underground bunker, and he had no intention of delaying it. Although Helen mentioned that the meteor shower would arrive in about a month, it was better to build the underground bunker sooner.

Waldo planned to build the underground bunker beneath his mansion. One reason was for convenient access, and another was because the mansion already had fortified walls and an automated defense system, making it safer to construct the underground bunker here.

Furthermore, the mansion already had a basement that could serve as a foundation for the bunker.

Waldo took out the blueprints for the underground bunker and, together with Alanna and Helen, went to the basement of the mansion to witness the construction process.

[Yes/No]

Waldo clicked on "Build Underground Bunker," and the S-Alloy in his backpack began to melt, gradually adhering to the walls of the original basement of the mansion, constantly fusing and expanding.

It was still the same basement, but not entirely as it used to be. Waldo looked at the walls of the basement, which should now be the underground bunker. The shimmering silver-textured walls made of S-Alloy transformed the bunker into a futuristic, white space, exuding a sci-fi vibe.

With the construction of the underground bunker complete, Alanna and Helen couldn't help but gasp in awe. However, Waldo, with his hand supporting his chin, felt that he had seen a similar underground bunker somewhere before.

After pondering and contemplating, he suddenly slapped his forehead. The discreet and restrained silver texture, the metal covering the entire wall—wasn't it an upgraded version of the Tear Iron Bars?!

Once a person accepts a certain setting in their mind, they can't change the inherent impression brought by their subconscious. Now, as Waldo looked at the underground bunker with minimal changes except for the S-Alloy-covered walls, he was quite satisfied.

Even without the meteor shower, living in such an environment would be very comfortable. Waldo looked at Alanna and Helen.

He wanted to make some modifications to the underground bunker. After all, the original basement was arranged according to the initial design, and he wasn't too fond of it.

Of course, modifying the underground bunker would require the involvement of Alanna and Helen. Waldo smiled and said, "Alanna, Helen, I want to make some changes to the underground bunker. What do you think would be the best way to modify it?"

Alanna was taken aback. "Modifications? In terms of what? Armaments or interior design?"

Waldo patted Alanna's head and explained, "Silly, of course it's about the interior design modifications. I'll take care of the armament modifications myself."

When it came to interior design, Helen's eyes lit up. She loved interior design. Helen said, "Waldo, in my opinion, the most needed modification for the underground bunker is the S-Alloy walls. They are too cold and make people feel uneasy."

Alanna agreed, "Yes, Waldo, the color of the S-Alloy is too icy. It's a bit too harsh on the eyes. Let's change it to a warmer color."

Waldo looked at the color of the S-Alloy. He didn't like it either; it was indeed uncomfortable to look at for a long time. It would be better to choose a warmer color.

Waldo nodded and agreed with Alanna and Helen's suggestion. He asked, "What color or wallpaper do you two plan to use?"

Alanna and Helen said simultaneously, "Blue."

They were both surprised but smiled at each other. They didn't expect that they both liked blue.

Waldo smiled and said, "Alright, two against one, majority wins. Let's repaint the walls with blue. But let's be clear, when the time comes, you two must not slack off. Everyone has to work."

Alanna held Waldo's arm affectionately and said, "I know, how could I bear to let you do all the work alone?"

Helen glanced at them and calmly said, "Same here, I'll also contribute."

Waldo continued, pointing at the existing living room, "By the way, I don't think we need to modify this living room much. Just keep it simple with leather sofas, coffee tables, and a TV. Since we don't have other furniture, let's make do with what we have."

Alanna walked into the living room and pointed to the wall where the sofa was leaning against. She said, "Waldo, can we hang a painting here? I really like the painting in our upstairs room, and it would look good here too."

Waldo nodded and said, "Sure, no problem. We can take it down and hang it here later."

Looking at the existing bar counter, Helen observed the surrounding layout and suggested, "Waldo, it seems like our underground bunker doesn't have a kitchen. Why not transform this small bar counter into a simple open kitchen?"
