Mr. Smith walked back and forth several times. He was a great strategist but at this moment his mind was not able to process anything.
He was terrified of the Akso squad and their methods of investigating. He knows that sooner or later, his family will get involved in this case. He can not completely clear the records of Alan's interactions with him and his family. Neither can he save his ass from being held as accomplice. He should just give up on Alan and inform the squad about his whereabouts. The demon in his head kept whispering to him that he should just cooperate and lead that squad to Alan.
But his morals didn't let him do that. He rushed to his office to find some clues about the remaining possibilities.
As he reached his office he saw Alan sitting at the entrance, totally lost in his thoughts. He was continously staring ahead with no direction or aim. Mr. Smith paused and turned around. He started walking in opposite direction. When he reached far enough, he looked around for CCTV. Then he walked some more and entered a dark alley.
He sighed and then sat on the ground. From there, he called Alan with his unregistered mobile number.
Ring Ring Ring
No response.
Mr. Smith called again.
Ring Ring Ring…
With a jerk Alan woke up from his trance. He picked up the call.
" Hello." He said.
" Hello. Alan it's me Roger. Alan, boy, stand up. Do as I say without asking any question. Stand up and walk away from that building. In fact, walk towards the backside of office building. And, hide your face. Make sure none of those camera get a shot of your face. Supress your pheromones and walk away."
" But…" Alan was a little confused.
" Alan, walk away!" Mr. Smith yelled.
Alan did whatever he was told.
" Now, walk to the back alley. You will see a car parked there. A black Jeep. Break it's glass. There is a spare key in the front cabinet."
Alan looked around and there was a Jeep, dusty and covered in bird's poop. He punched the glass and it broke. He opened the cabinet and there it was, the key.
"I got it" he replied.
" Now start the engine. There are several phones hidden under the back seat. Switch on one of them. Call me with that phone."
Alan hung the call and called Smith with the other phone.
" Hello."
Alan said.
" Great job Alan. Now last thing you gotta do is dump your phone in sewer drain."
" But why?" Alan asked again.
" Alan do you trust you teacher?" Mr.Smith emphasized.
" I do." With those words, Alan dropped his phone in the drain pit nearby.
He got back to the car. " Now what?"
"Alan, drive the car. Drive it towards the west and keep driving until you see the city gate."
As Mr. Smith heard the sound of engine, he gave a sigh of relief. When the car was far enough, he explained to Alan. " Alan the southern research center found out that you are hiding here."
Screech..Alan kicked the brakes in shock.
"What!" Alan was dumbstruck.
"No no..don't stop. Keep moving. Alan do you here me. No matter what! Keep moving!" Smith yelled.
"Okay. Okay." Now Alan was finally back to his senses. He started the car and started speeding up. " But how did they find me?"
" They got your DNA from the hospital and it matched with the escaped savage omega Alan Tuan. You were reckless Alan. Now that they know you are alive and wandering among citizens, they have launched a full search along with the Akso squad." Smith continued." Those guys are gonna sniff out your whereabouts. Believe me, even I don't want to mess with those hell hounds. But there power diminishes on the Western desert. You will go there and work under my friend Andrew. He will give you your new ID. You will be able to live for a few more years if you stay away from those scientists."
" So I am going to live in the west now?" Alan tried to confirm.
" Do you have any other option?! You messed up Alan. You should have controlled yourself."
"But..Rui..she.." Alan wanted to counter but he found himself speechless.
"I know Alan. You don't have to say." Mr. Smith sighed.
" Mr. Smith.. Rui,, she…tell her I said goodbye." Alan stuttered." Tell her I am sorry and I will miss her."
Mr. Smith felt an extreme guilt rising in his chest. " You are good kid, Alan. You know all these years of my life, I never met an omega as strong as you, a kid as brave as you and a friend as sincere as you. You are a great kid Alan."
The tears that Alan was holding back finally escaped his eyes and came pouring down like rain. " Mr.Smith please tell Rui that I am grateful. Tell her she was my best friend and I love her a lot…And I am sorry that she went through such pain. Unintentionally, I have wronged her beyond repair. I wish we were friends forever but now I am on the run again....She is gonna be so mad." Alan laughed, through all those tears." Ugh, I wish her well. I really wish her all the happiness there is."
Alan wiped his tears," Damn it. I can't see the road." Before, he could drive further, a car stopped in front of him and blocked his way. He hung up the call.
A 7 feet tall person got off and knocked his window, " You are Alan?"
" Yes" Alan replied in a confused tone.
" I am Andrew Morris. Roger must have told you about me." Before Alan could reply, he continued. " Leave your belonging here. You are coming with us."
In the darkness of night, Alan Tuan disappeared near the western border. No one found any evidence. No one ever saw that black jeep. His existence felt like a dream to everyone he once knew. Such was the end of the savage omega Alan Tuan.
